As the car ages, that cosmetic cover's underside insulation will continually disintegrate and drop dust and microfiber particles all over the block underneath, and you'll find it collecting where you would never want it. Also hazardous to your lungs. If you ever work on it yourself or bring it in, it's a good idea to vacuum or damp wipe around the oil cap, dipstick and spark plug tubes. And if you bring it to a mechanic, remove the cover and do the cleaning before you bring it in. They won't clean, and that shit will get inside the engine.

The sample square wave is 0-2V and 1ms per wave? When I set the horizonal zoom to 100ms, I can see a hundred waves in a division (yes, very dense). When I change to 200ms, I should see 2 hundred waves per division (even denser), right? But I see a wave per 2.5 divisions. Is this a bug or I am not using this correctly? I see the 2 tabs has polarity. If I reverse ground and positive, shouldn't I get a wave of 0v to -2v but it gives me no signal? And I can't seem to stabilize the wave using the triggers you described. Either the software is so buggy or it is just me. I have ver 1.0.30.

My square wave won’t start from the volt trigger marker, and mostly it start from top and then drawn to down which I want it to look like yours that start from exact point of the volt trigger marker then it move up, secondly too is like the trace is little above the volt trigger marker instead of it to be at the top of the yellow volt trigger marker where it point to, please what should I do to get this fix , am using 2d72

Hello. What about automotive oscilloscope probes? They have no slot for adjustment. That means they cannot be compensated? They come with 2 alligator clip ends or banana plugs but no slot anywhere. When I clamp any leads it does show a square wave but overcompensated and it cannot be calibrated or compensated.

No oil came out of the differential. That's what happened with my 1994 Corolla. It was the arrow on the right passenger side

Isn't the ignition secondary VERY HIGH voltage?? At 5v per division. it appears not to exceed 30V. Shouldn't it be closer to 30KV ??? Or is your blue channel at a higher volt per division than the transistor wave?? THANKS MUCH!!!!

Really good video. I have watched it twice. Are you saying that if you make a mistake and plug the hot line mains wire to the negative attenuator input that is when you expose yourself, the oscilloscope and possibly your computer with a USB connection to the full 120 V because there is continuity across all of the negative inputs? And the corollary to that is if the hot line went through the positive attenuator input then you wouldn't be exposed to the full 120V (it will have been attenuated)? But even so it isn't worth risking mixing up the hot and neutral inputs.
