Citizens always whine. Wades a citizen. I assume you did time or know someone close who did. "Public Pretender". Gave it away. You know more than the average citizen if you know that term. But yeah, citizens always whine at first. They go from a fully domesticated live of repetitious comfort...To being thrown into the animal farm...Where things like mental illness goes unchecked and "might is right". And that isnt even to mention the whole gang thing. Expect citizens to whine until they understand the codes. After that....Well we have another term for them right?

This movie basically an updated version of Dark Blue also written by Ayer like 10 years earlier. Same characters slightly different plot. If you haven’t seen it the similarities are striking.

Even though it was never filmed and would have undermined Derek's character arc and the point of the movie, the alternate proposed ending would most likely be the most realistic and anti-Hollywood ending for the film. AHX is a classic and as a classic should, continues to hold merit to this day.

What mfs don't understand about BNBO; Pablo was hyper masculine turned Asexual (former boxer, sex icon with no wife, gf, kids), Cruz was a normal health kid who after a traumatic experience had his sexuality shattered (sometimes he's extreme, fucking his art manager, sometimes stripping down to the bone!!!!) and miklo who's attracted creepy abuelita and denied fools chon chon, to having Magic saying "I'd die for you" (ultimate gay status).
