This unique driving style was 7 seconds too slow, by comparison to Morris's pace earlier in the race, they dragged poor Moffat in and put Bill O'Brien in. Then the car expired.

I think right there is a great example of the difference between Moffat and Brock. Moffat had to give 110% of himself to compete with Brock who was so gifted that he hardly looked like he was trying. When they had the in-car audio from both cars, Moffat was always stressed out and Brock was so laid back but both driving equally fast.

I remember when thjs happened. Very strange crash. I guess Bowe had his accident trying to avoid Lowndes.

Minis were known for doing there diffs and losing control like we saw here, thank God the Marshall survived, Minis were very fast but very very deadly, something not mentioned enough.

I didnt know Harvey could be such a dick. The move on Berger may have been 50/50. But O'Brien? He really slammed the door shut when it wasn't his turn. But hey, he got away with it until he slipped. Thankfully lots of steering lock on this circuit for drivers to pull those incredible saves a la Finnigan when he overdrove his anvil to stay in punching distance to Mr Precision Line Bond's slotcar.

Many of the big names Johnson, Brock, Moffat, Percy were not there as Moffat and Brock were travelling back from Spa though Harvey was back in time to commentate but Johnson was hoping that the RS500 would be homologated in time for Johnson to take part but the field did not have a single Ford Sierra which meant no Ford teams and drivers which disappointed the European based Ford teams who would have needed the data from the Australian Ford teams on the Calder Roval
