Did anybody enjoy the Eternals film? I didn’t like it. I fell asleep through it when I watched and didn’t care enough to go back and rewatch it.

IF this is child peter parker, and we were in Andrew Garfield's Spiderman universe (but in the past?) then it would make sense to have young dr. conors have both arms pre-accident (and pre-turning into the lizard)... but it seems so confusing!

"The Venom 3 trailer makes no damn sense" I mean, Venom 1 and Venom 2 also didn't make sense. Venom 1 was entertaining due to how dumb it was but Venom 2 went too dumb and just was stupid. So it's pretty on brand for this to look stupid too

I'm excited for whatever slop Sony throws at us. Let There Be Carnage is one if my favorite movies of all times. It's a 6.5/10, but it gave me all the melodrama and self-indulgent action scenes a comic book would, so I was FEASTING.

🤔 conspiracy theory - this release was meant to coincide with Eternals 2 and August’s leaked release with MCU Young Avengers (?)

Seems to me like Sony shoved that scene with the Symbiote sliver into the after credits of the movie and it's obvious Feige was never going to do anything with it because if he doesn't personally approve it, it's not canon. Considering the bartender character is wearing different clothes in that scene and the trailer scene, it's possible that maybe the Symbiote sliver got sent back to the Sony verse after Venom did, and maybe that's the Sony verse version of the bartender wondering what this thing is... and then it gets captured. Or you could be right. We don't really know either way. But it's fun to make little guesses.

I wouldn't argue as much with most regarding Sony's description of Venom as iconic or complex as a character generally, it's more their version of it isn't those things no fault to Hardy. Venom as both the symbiote bonded to Pete, as well as the relationship with other hosts, and its offspring, genetic history, government experimentation, et cetera combined with some of the revamped and more developed Eddie Brock story could be those things, but the path they chose wasn't that, and so it makes their claims ring false and hollow. I actually liked the sort of comedy-action-horror vibe of the first one, as well as the portrayal of Eddie being a good-intentioned even if not brilliant sort of reporter who oversteps boundaries and breaks trust to do what he thinks is right, and is punished for it and has everything fall apart. The less said about the second, the better, having taken almost every wrong lesson from the first movie to somehow make a worse and more rushed movie despite having an infinitely better villain available, and all the set up done from the first film already accomplished. I'm holding out hope the last one fulfills some of the promise of the first one, but I won't be holding my breath.

Sony venom verse has become the Tommy Wiseau of movies. Just an absolute train wreck I can't help but be baffled and yet be entertained, just not in the way they'd hope. Kind of think the finale will see the TVA confiscating the symbiote from Eddie as a punishment for threatening the multiverse, then wipe both their memories of the trilogy. Then maybe Tom Holland’s Peter finds the symbiote in their custody in Secret Wars but it’s essentially lobotomized at first.

ITS A PARALLEL UNIVERSE...yes the same bar tender but clearly here in this universe he is a customer not a bar tender. That piece of symbiote is a different piece or the same that just got transported back to this universe AFTER venom did.

The bar symbiote is a different piece from venom or the same that telaported AFTER venom did and the kill team was tracking the symbiote and just happened to show up after eddie left. They give away that because in the other universe the bar tender was cleaned up, sober and behind the bar, in this universe he isn't a bar tender he is a customer and he's on the outside of the bar and he looks rough and drunk.

So my brain went more logical than this theory. Brock went to another universe that is identical to ours and came back. So when he came back he was STILL in the bar from the spiderman movie but now in HIS universe. So maybe the scene of them taking the symbiote off the bar is AFTER he telaports back and is a diffrent piece or.....the movie picks up on that piece crawling like in the movie but just has a delay telaporting back and the team was already there to capture venom but they were too late for him but show up right when the little piece comes back and that's how he catches it off guard.

Good trailer because none of this will be in the movie.

I feel like I remember, in the movie, that Thena is basically like “the Greek god Athena is me, they just misrepresented my name over the years, I’m the only one.” Just some weird “I’m basically worshipped as a god” type shit. Felt weird.
