My favorite thing about Flash Thompson is that once he decides to be a better person, he pretty much stays that way, and becomes the most reliable guy in the world, or tries to be. It's kinda unfortunate that most adaptations always start at the beginning, and you never see that evolution... Unless your Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man, and you get to see a short versions of that evolution played... pretty well for the format.

Maybe its how flash is a very selfless heroic figure that he "lifts up" those weaker than him just like his hero spider-man, while also not doing well with big authority figures, and he frequently "brings them down" by going off mission/something going wrong at the worst time? Its a very weird ability but thats the best i got

One storyline I would have loved to see in the MCU would have been to dust all of Peter's friends except for Flash during the Blip. Have Flash lose his entire group of closest friends, which in turn could push him to join the military both to find a new community and to sort of pick up where Spidey left off since he was clearly dusted as well. Even if Flash doesn't know he's Peter specifically, Spidey just isn't around anymore. It doesn't take too much brainpower to work out why that might be. Anyway, so he's off in the military for a couple of years and loses a leg in some type of conflict. Either that happens before Peter and everyone else returns or maybe he's sent off - post-Endgame - as part of some kind of peacekeeping force trying to battle an uprising that relates to the terror group from Falcon and the Winter Soldier (or at least people sharing similar concerns). I'm blanking on their name right now, but I think they could be a good reason for Flash to lose his leg. It's a conflict that's explicitly tied to the MCU so Marvel wouldn't have to throw him into an existing conflict with all of the baggage that comes from that. With the leg lost, he comes back to the States and tries to cope with his disability. Despite those hardships, he realizes that he's gotten all of his old friends back even if they're still just kids while he's grown up so things are both kind of weird but also kind of happy. Spider-Man Far From Home then happens and he learns that Peter is Spider-Man. By this time he's grown out of his old bully way, and bonds with Peter. Not only as a fan of Spider-Man, but also since Peter is the only one of his old friends who can understand Flash's experience in a war/conflict zone. Despite still being a kid, Peter has been through the ringer on a galactic scale, and he's lost people along the way. Being five years older than Peter, Flash can become a mentor of sorts in a more organic way than Tony and especially Doctor Strange never could. The Venom symbiote leaves a part of itself in the MCU universe and it eventually bonds with Peter, who goes through the symbiote storyline and eventually gets rid of the symbiote in the belltower. However, instead of the symbiote finding Eddie Brock at the bottom of it, it instead finds Flash. By this time, Flash has strong feelings regarding both Peter and Spidey, just as the symbiote has, but in a very different way than Eddie would have had if he'd been the one down there. Maybe the symbiote latches onto Flash's negative feelings about Peter from back when he used to bully him, since those are the feelings that might initially be most familiar to the symbiote with regards to how itself feels about Peter, but eventually Flash's newer feelings win over. If this doesn't happen quickly, Flash might end up in conflict with Spider-Man. When he does, he would be a formidable foe. As dangerous as Eddie Brock might have been, he was still just a buff journalist. Flash, meanwhile, is a highly trained and decorated professional soldier. Pair that with a symbiote and some guns against a very-much-still-teenager Spidey, and he'd be a tough foe for sure. Either way, Flash eventually gets the symbiote under control and becomes Agent Venom. When No Way Home comes around, can you imagine Tobey Maquire's face when he sees Tom Holland team up with his high school bully wearing the Venom symbiote? Anyway, yeah. I've spent way too much thinking about how I would have written things differently. But I guess you know a thing or two about that, haha. 😂

It always amazes when Venom bonds with someone, I was explaining this the other day to my younger brother (22) and I (41) couldn't even think of a way to describe it lol, I was referencing Dr Who and the regeneration process. @harleyjo4875Ай бұрын
Not to take away from Nando, but if you’re unfamiliar with RegisKillbin, you gotta look into him if you wanna play Snap “competitively” (it’s really not that serious, but if you wanna learn meta, essentially.) Played against him multiple times in the early game and learned a lot from playing multiple games in Conquest knowing I was going to lose anyway, but wanting to learn how I lost. Just gonna say, if you just now got into it, it’s gonna take awhile to get the better cards for the already established decks/metas, but it also isn’t impossible to win with beginner decks if you get cards like High Evolutionary, for a single example. Venom + Armin Zola, also amazing for early play if you have some destroy cards. The only thing I want to stress is, this game is SO not serious, and I would NOT recommend spending ANY money on it unless you wanna buy the season pass and get variants and more bonuses to expedite your card collection, but seriously, just have fun with it and get your ranks, bonuses, etc etc. I find it funny that the creator of the game explicitly expressed how this was not a “pay to win game” but two years later, we’re already essentially into Magic the Gathering territory.

I've been playing Agent Venom / Thanos / C4 and having SO much fun. Genuinely the most I've ever enjoyed playing Thanos because suddenly all the stones are 1-4s. If I don't get Cerebro+Mystique I can always drop the big Thanos which helps with the unreliability of C4. Black Swan helps of course, especially now that it's an activate; plus Lockjaw and Jubilee to get cards out of the deck. Hawkeye is a nice addition because he can become a 4-power either from his ability or from Agent Venom. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I would be so elated to see Joe Manginello show up as Agent Venom even if it's a Gambit sized role. Not only would it be an evolution of the character he already played but it's also basically the Deathstroke he never got to play.

Just had a thought of a story arc that would legitimately be hysterical, but also requires some specific details in the great marvel line-up: Have an "Agent Venom" comic, Flash is reunited with the Venom symbiote and out doing Agent Venom stuff. But also do this while there's an Eddie Brock Venom ongoing. And have it be this big question of "so wait, how do they both have the Venom symbiote?" Eventually, Eddie has to confront Flash because, like, the government is starting to harass him over this because they are trying to reign in their rogue agent. And the reveal is... Venom (the symbiote) has their own fans. The symbiote that has bonded with Flash isn't the original Venom, but just a symbiote that has molded their entire life after Venom. But the main person that the wider cosmic community knew as Venom's "partner" was Flash, not Eddie. Just the idea of Spider-man's biggest fan AND ALSO Venom's biggest fan being a tag team would be very amusing to me.

Seems like a good idea for how to move forward w Venom after Tom Hardy. Casual viewers of the movies over the years probably remember the name Flash Thompson, it could mention/allude to spider-man often without him actually being in the story as these somy movies always do, but with this character would actually make sense. And he could take the symbiote and fuck off to have fun in his own adventures.

I didn't like Marvel Snap when it launched but I decided to give it another chance last week and now I'm in... although some of it still doesn't make sense to me. I just got to a point where I want different Decks for different purposes- mostly Alliance Missions. So I have my Main deck and a deck that focuses on Destroying cards and one that focuses on Moving cards. I am interested in making a sort of Attrition deck with Agent Venom with mostly 1-2 cost cards. That way I'll be able to flood the field with multiple cards every turn with 4 power. I have to look through and see if I can force it to always show up in my hand really early (please let me know if there's a card that might help with that... I am still unlocking them. I haven't even seen Mr Negative yet)
