I get adrenaline rushes in the middle of the night. My heart starts racing and then it comes back down.

The first two doctors called me a liar and a nurse practitioner offered me psychiatric meds. I didn't know it was HPA axis issues at the time. I was in a horrible state for several years before I realized what it was. Things got so bad I could barely get to the bathroom or prepare something basic to eat. I was doing better at the beginning of this year until an unexpected housing debacle sent me into a serious tailspin. It's been 9 months since that happened and I will have to move again in a couple of months. Concerned it will cause serious setback especially on a tight budget. I imagine it will now take me longer in each phase of recover than if I had had decent healthcare in the beginning, but at least now I know what is going on. Thank you for your videos. They are very helpful and encouraging. Edit to add: Holy Basil is helping me too. Other adaptogenic herbs like rhodiola and ashwaganda lowered my cortisol too much since my cortisol was already too low. Naturopaths didn't seem to get this, but I am glad I found holy basil tea.

I have noticed that when I am feeling lots of gratitude and am happy and doing things I enjoy my symptoms go away or are way better. I was never sure which came first. Was I feeling great because my symptoms are better or visa versa? When I am basically doing what I can to up my dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins I feel better. Earlier this year I had a very stressful, unexpected housing crisis that thew me back into a worse state. I am slowly coming out of it but it is slow. Very grateful for this video. Very encouraging! Thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I left work two years ago knowing something was wrong with me and needing to get answer. While my doctors sort of got me in the right direction, there really wasn't a lot of help or information on what I was going through. I felt hopeless, like I was always going to feel like this. Eventually (about a year ago) I just started listening to my gut on what I needed and walked away from a lot of stressors in my life. I did nothing but sleep for six weeks when I first left. I was lucky enough to find a partner that literally fed me through that time because I didn't have the energy. Hearing you go through each of the phases was so validating. It is exactly my experience (at least up until phase three which is where I think i'm stuck right now). The reason i found this video was because I'm definitely in phase three but I keep pushing myself just a little too hard and slipping back into two. Having a guide like this, knowing what to expect and how much I can push myself might help me finally get out of phase three and into phase four. I'm giving myself permission to take it easy again. It's hard when I feel like maybe I have the energy again and maybe i can push through... but that's how I got here in the first place... just push through, just push through, just push through. giving myself room to rest is so hard but clearly so needed. And knowing there's an actually recovery for this means so much. hope goes a long way. Knowing I'm actually working toward a "better" makes that rest seem worth it, not like i'm just being lazy and not trying. it's actually working toward recovery. thank you!

Hi Jayden…I’m surprised you didn’t try glandulars. Adrenal glandulars is a biggie supplement for HPA axis dysfunction. I’m trying glandulars with caution. I had stopped glandulars and decided to take only vitC, amino acids and do stress techniques for a while then I will try glandulars to helps rebuild adrenals. Dr. Lam says glandulars too soon can backfire.

Hey brother, thank you so much for sharing this content. It’s a huge relief. I’m really going through it right now. I had a stroke three months ago, and since then, I've been dealing with intense health anxiety, hypochondria, and somatic symptom disorder. I've had overwhelming fears of serious health issues: heart problems, cancer, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, you name it. This anxiety has been incredibly challenging. I also wanted to share a link to a video I made on our KZbin channel, where we update viewers on our real estate work here in Ecuador: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3rdh2R9rtqHa9E If you'd ever like to give me a chance to share my story and what’s helped me get through this, I’d be honored. Thank you again, truly. Your channel is a breath of fresh air. I'm so grateful to have found it.

Before my AS auto immune was diagnosed, I would get some of these when driving on freeway. Light headed, pass out panic, but what would trigger it every time would be singing. If I started singing it would start and I’d pull off freeway or off to the shoulder, and wait few mins and was good to go, (as long as I didn’t sing )Wtf ?? Liquor sips would keep it at bay, but that was lawfully risky, and might even be the reason it started happening , as it only happened when 95-100% sober. Ngl~(Was a functioning liquor sipper at the time. I’m 50 now and don’t drink anymore. I didn’t quit drinking, and can drink if I wished to, but just don’t and haven’t since that era which was almost 14 yrs ago. But still afraid to sing and drive, as I still feel it coming if start singing. ~yup strange
