When Zelda transforms back into her normal self at 5:10, you can briefly see Links green silhouette flash over her. I'm 99% convinced that this is going to be a reverse Spirit Track situation. Link's spirit was ejected when his body was taken over by evil and he ends up bound to the swords Zelda finds. He helps Zelda on the journey by protecting her and providing providing his skills as a fighter while a disembodied spirit.

I just realized that the Still World is the equivalent of the Twilight Realm had Aonuma been given more development time to implement a mechanic involving it as originally intended in Twilight Princess so i got sold the second i saw it during the trailer.

​@@javiervasquez625 With the difference being that while the Twilight Realm is a Banishment Region for Evil, the Still World is (according to the German Translation at least) the Void, anything that enters it will dissappear into nothing

Also, as i recall, the 6 Sages had originally sent Ganondorf to the Twilight Realm with the hopes that the corruptive influence of the Twilight would maintain his immortal soul in perpetual slumber until he would be incapable of ever awakening ,(similar to the Still World).

Prerelease theory. This game contains a few parallels to OoT; notably in the design of Zelda’s dress and the pink crystal she was sealed in by Ganondorf. My theory: the big bad isn’t Ganon, it’s Phantom Ganon and the Still World is the “gap between dimensions” Ganondorf banished it too after Link defeated it. Phantom Ganon recovered its strength in the Still World and broke free, either to take vengeance on the one it blames for being sealed, or else because it’s still following its master’s orders all this time later.

Oh, thank God she gains a combat form! I was legit worried that she might need to spend most of the game marshaling Echoes to fight in her stead, so I'm glad she can do that, bur also wield a sword and shield. I continue to be excited for this game! 😊

​@@AidanRatnage Just because it's another incarnation of Volvagia that doesn't mean it's the _same one_ both mentioned in the ancient Goron legend and killed by the Hero of Time. Remember that Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link also had its own seperate version of Barba/Volvagia with no evidence pointing at it been the same one from Ocarina of Time.

I remain somewhat skeptical in regards to the dungeons since we don't know how much puzzle-focused this new Era of dungeons will be and wether we'll spend most of the time using the Tri-rod to make our way to the boss room rather than enjoying the more "classic" formula from previous top down titles. That said, i'm still hyped to explore the Still World and find wathever surprises Nintendo has in store for us there.

One thing that really impresses me is how diverse and content rich EoW is going to be, for example, just the addition of side missions alone adds for a ton of replay value... and the still world itself really switches it up in terms of aesthetic which the depths lacked in TOTK... for example if you enter a rift in the Gerudo desert... there looks to be sand puzzles and things in line with the desert environment in the still world unlike if you were to enter a rift in the forest area/ wetlands, etc... I do believe Nintendo is showing and possibly spoiling quite a bit of what will be in the game... like Corrupted Link being an actual boss battle which I would have preferred be a surprise when playing.. but there's no denying EoW will be the most ambitious 2D Zelda game ever made following this new trailer and the overall conception of the still world on top of an already quite vast overworld that mixes up the Link to the Past map... I can't wait to play it! I will skip watching PAX demo stuff though... I really don't want to see much more...

I've also noted Nintendo has been quite silent in regards to the game's story by merely throwing us a vague premise without any explicit revelations as to what is causing the rifts to appear and wether Ganon(dorf) is the real culprit in any of it as of the release of this latest trailer. They really know how to keep us invested in playing the game by only teasing us with vague gameplay clips and story bits and by extension making us hyped to play it once it's out.

⁠Obviously I’m making a bit of a joke here, but both the original trailer and this video refer to Zelda entering the Still World through a “Tear.” It would be on-brand for the makers of Wii and Wii U and of 3DS and New 3DS to have two games with the same title and make their customers differentiate between the two pronunciations. 🙂

He might be referring to the magic meter from earliest Zelda games like A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, etc. which were very much gone in the Era of the Wild duology. With the ability to transform into "Zelink" added into the game, that reintroduces the magic meter which we last saw back in 2013 with A Link between Worlds.
