I love the sound of Dennis Tolz's guitar. The first time I heard you play in Fennville, Michigan you were playing a John Gilbert guitar. Sadly, he is no longer with us. The Dammann you play is very good, but for this piece I really enjoyed the Tolz.

He is 100% correct on both warming up comfortably, not killing yourself and his scalar approach. I used to use chromatic exercises; now I just use excerpts from pieces I know. Also, breaking diatonic scales into 5 note ascending/descending exercises vs covering all 6 strings at once or adding more.

Who made that guitar? Wow. The upper ranges are heavenly and the clarity is exceptional

Yes, this is just excellent! Bravo Mr. Russell! It is impossible not to get carried away by this enchanting music. 5:16 - nobody plays this as beautiful as he. After having listened to this more than 30 times I consider this the most perfect guitar perfomance of everything I ever heard. And I have heard a lot.

Andrés Segovia, Julian Bream and David Russell are themselves guitar musicians. Of these, the one with the highest level of perfection is, of course, Russell. Russell are musicians that will be difficult to come by in the future.
