@@keesstream I guess it depends on your used case for it. If you live somewhere sunny and you use it a lot for cycling for example, the MIP display is probably better. If you do like me a lot of running in darker conditions then it maybe that the AMOLED is better for you. @@Runningonthemind I have T7 pro solar with mips display. I actually bought epix first. Then i saw tactix on some guys wrist and i was amazed how good it looked. So i decided to get one too. First was thinking to get amoled, but already had amoled on epix so decided to try out the mips. I dont put any difference between the two screens because i think there is no big difference between the two because those garmin watches are not really for stuff that requires much of amoled other than maps maybe. Like 99 percent of time you are just using the watch for data generation specially when you live active lifestyle like me. I find reading maps easier on amoled. seems like a trend at the moment when people like a shoe and its good they limit the availability to drive up hype,i call it the Jake and Logan effect, then the next iteration will be higher priced and because the previous was so good people will buy the next and realise it aint as good 🤔

It definitely feels very intentional by the shoe manufacturers that’s for sure. These are at the better end of the pricing market compared to other carbon plated manufacturers but I suspect version 4 will as you say be more expensive 👍

I can get this for $899 aud at the time I’m commenting. Think this video has convinced me to get it. My current watch is a Suunto spartan from 2018 😂. I’m an apple user but the battery life of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is just not enough for the price

@@bfmainisnunu8064 it’s a brilliant watch, and at that value you really can’t go wrong. I got the Fenix 8 to test for a few months and will finish my comparison video between the Epix pro gen 2 and the new Fenix hopefully today so look out for that, but I’m pretty sure my conclusion is that the Epix is still the one to get 👍

Thanks so much for your review👍🏻Seriously been considering buying my first Garmin watch. Have been reading up on models like Fenix & Tactix but this Epix Pro Gen 2 model looks like the perfect all rounder for a Garmin beginner like myself!

@@mattc1704 it’s fantastic. I actually recently got the Fenix 8 to try it out and although it’s got a few things that the Epix hasn’t, the Epix does 98% of the same as what the Fenix 8 does and it now a lot cheaper. You’ll not regret it, it’s brilliant 👍

@@Runningonthemind Thanks very much for your reply. Just wanted to ask your advice.. I understand through other reviews that the Epix Pro Gen 2 has push button issues? Have you had or heard of this at all?

Which one could be better for slower runners?

@@jayinthelongrun7453 depends on the definition of slow cooking guess but the sky Paris is more versatile than the edge Paris. The sky works at pretty much all paces 👍

Thanks for sharing this video. I just purchased the Alpha Flys but after purchasing the first pair in my size and then the second a 1/2 size up, it still feel uncomfortably snug in the forefront. So they are definitely going back. The Metaspeed Sky was my second choice but now after watching your video I am considering the Edge. Can you describe the fit of both shoe in the toe box and forefront?

You’re welcome. I actually talked a little about the fit of the Metaspeed v the Alphafly 3 in one of my previous videos several months ago. The Alphafly is more like wearing a compression sock (which I personally quite like, but the asics motionwrap is much more of a traditionally feel, with more room in the toebox area. The wrap isn’t loose, but definitely more roomy than the Alphafly. Another option if you can’t get hold of the Metaspeed is the Puma deviate nitro elite 3, it performs as well as the Vaporfly 2 did, and feels very similar. The upper on it is very comfortable also. ASICS are about to release another mint blue colourway which looks lovely so hopefully more supply and availability of it coming as well

Great comparison! I love and prefer the Sky but do own both. Edge: More firm, less bouncy, more aggressive like you say - best for top paces/short distances. Similar plate position to Nike Vaporfly 3. Sky: More soft, more bouncy, less aggressive - I prefer so far over all distances! Similar plate position to Nike Alphafly 3.

Totally agree my friend. That’s exactly how I described them in one of my previous videos about the Metaspeed Edge. Appreciate the comment mate 👍
