Is Gordon blind even I saw the black rotten ones as he was squashing them acorns,

What did he mean about the shadow from the fire? Genuinely curious. I would love to be able to one day learn how to survive effectively and efficiently as they do. I find it so interesting.

When roasting the roots why didn’t they do that first greatly improving the flavour then pound it to liberate the starch and For the life of me I cannot understand why they didn’t change out the water in the water Lilly seeds daily, or even bag them up and leach them in a stream instead. I know there are lots of variables but for me the most important aspect about the preparation/cooking process is supposed to make it palatable and not disgusting.

There’s so many people on KZbin that try to be like him copying everything he does even down to the wooden cup he uses it’s not a problem but just try to be your own man because they will never be Ray Mears he’s tier one when it comes to bushcraft and the thing i love about him is the respect he shows to Mother Nature when others don’t

The only thing wrong with this video is wasting time cutting the piece of paper with the axe. it is a worthless test because just about any sharp enough bit of steel will cut paper. test it on something that is a real test like a small tree.

This particular Ray Mears is perfect instruction for Alone (USA) participants, who now always have to venture into the north and survive on fish, for the most part. But also do some tracking in the snow.

Praise the Lord, because he promised to never leave us those who believe in him. Call on his name Jesus in good times and in survival times and be still for he will fight for you
