Lovell such a consummate Professional.. till he died he never said a bad word about HAYES Pizzing about. It’s even a joke in The film. ( no mention of Hayes popping valves on the Toilet release. ) Hayes to blame. Hope he never flew again ????????

Astronaut Hayes. . What a ASSSS hole were they sooo. Confident in the System he felt “ enabled “ to make popping noises with the “ EXTERNAL “ valve waste gate ??? What an ASSS HOLE . I would’ve PUNCHED him hard in the fffkin Face … and after they got home I’d have kicked him around the airport. Then never ever talked to him again what an utter prick. . There in space 200k away from earth and he’s playing silly ass jokes. Probs caused all the probs. You can’t say BANGS - POPS etc. didn’t cause the oxygen stirring circuit to malfunction. Proper idiot

The points that come out in this documentary really shows how good the film "Apollo 13" really was..... Even "You can't live without me" when Jim was talking to Marylin at the end of the mission was in the film.....all be it at a different point, namely before they took off. What a great documentary What a great film...... Subbed and liked

I never understood why the public saw something as routine that had only been done twice before 🤷. Routine would be like doing something at least 5 or 6 times

A little known fact, components of this spacecraft were built by foreign countries as an international agreement signed by President Johnson, Japan built the tank mixing components that failed. Great idea Democrats!

My favorite Apollo was 8. Borman, Lovell, and Anders. First to travel to the moon and back on a mission that although it didn’t involve a landing, still took yards and yards of guts. Real American heroes these guys.

I just can't stand this type of reporting where you waste time on what-could-happened, including some far-wrong hypotheses instead of reporting on the heroics, both from mission control and the crew. Nor did you say a word about the greatness of the jobs the engineers and other astronauts in mission control did. They were the best in the world at that time. in the 2 second flash you showed of the engineer doing the reserves calculations, You made no mention at all that he was doing it with a slide rule, pencil and paper. these men had this complex math burned into his head so he didn't have to reach for any reference book to find out how to do things. They just did it. there was at least a 30 minute story on what caused the oxygen tank explosion. The same sleazy work from the contractor that killed my uncle Gus Grissom and the other two astronauts. two really stupid things, one by the contractor an one by NASA. the contractor's stupidity was to use Teflon in a LOX environment. By that time, every engineer knew that Teflon burns explosively in a gaseous LOX environment. The Teflon burning in Apollo 1 Is why combustion was over in seconds. Each tank contained a level sensor, a stirring motor and a heater, all connected with Teflon wire. NASA's stupidity was using 48 volts during ground testing on circuits designed for 28 volts. During ground testing, they flipped the stirring switch once and in an empty tank. that operation fused the contacts of the Klixon- type thermostat. so when the switch was thrown in space, the heater continued heating until the Teflon insulating the heater exploded. The report I got my hands in didn't say whether the explosion ignited other teflon in the LOX tank but it almost had to to rupture the LOX pressure vessel. The incident report I got from NASA as well as a UMATIC tape of the event reporting went into excruciating detail about every defect they found. but they correctly heaped praise on everything people did correctly correctly and amazingly fast. Yeah, 4 years is a long time to post a comment. I decided to post minutes after the vid because it was so poorly done.

I think some of you people should google stabbing crime scenes where the killer is captured at the scene...theres no way to kill two people the way they were killed and not have blood on you from head to toe...even if you wore tyvek and covered yoursrlf from head to toe there would be a trail of blood...not 1 or 2 drops in a car and some bloody gloves...and the neighbor told police she saw to men behind Nicoles house...and there was a tape of oj cursing Nicole out regarding her drug use and being in debt to dope dealers...tell the whole story if your gonna tell it

I have lived in South Dakota all my life, and I have met all of our governors before her. Above all of them I have met personally, the were honest!! They didn't write a book, then they didn't go on a book tour.. Whether they were a Democrat or Republican, they were at least honest. Something that we, who live here do daily, we are not politicians, and we are not trying to get a political office. We are trying to keep a roof over our heads, have a good job but more importantly we are always honest to honest to our friends and family. We take questions that we don't like, but least we are honest. Please don't hate our great state of South Dakota because of our governor. We don't dodge questions and blame others.
