Have you ever thought that, maybe, just for a second, a teeny tiny second, that this game is only focusing on having fun gameplay elements and not being an immersive clusterfuckfest going "OH MY GOD IT'S AMAZING LOOK AT THIS MINISCULE DETAIL!! THE HORSES BALLS SHRIVEL UP IN THE COLD?" This video alone shows how no matter what, you can't make everyone happy. You can have a game that has a really fun gameplay loop that's loved by millions. But if you dare to have a bad story they will ignore that and dog on the game which curates a small hatebase towards this and the developers who at the time of making this were an indie studio. Which by the way is insane that they stuck with this game for so long to try to somewhat publish it, as it lives on to be one of the best survival games in the genre.
