17:39 What I think happened to Cyanide was that the game thinks he's dead and alive but can't decide so it puts a corpse where Cy stand for a period of time but doesn't show it to anyone but him because it's only his client that has the paradox logic. The rest of the clients think Cy is either dead and gone or logged off.

Nah, the server was completely dead at this point. Nobody's movement was getting synced to the other players; note that nobody was moving from Womble's perspective either. What's interesting to me is that I didn't notice the good ol' broken red chain icon indicating connection issues; I guess somehow the server crashed in such a way that it was still *technically* running, but not actually updating anything? They managed to pull off a really weird crash here. They could still talk because that was handled separately via Teamspeak, through good ol' Task Force Arrowhead Radio (TFAR). TFAR takes the positions of the players in-game and sets their 3D audio positions in TS accordingly, all client-side. Since Cy was next to them according to his client, he heard them, but since his position wasn't being synced to the other players none of them could have heard him. If one of the other guys had gone out and found wherever Cy was at the moment the server crashed, they could've heard him talking. Cy not being teleported in the first place is a fairly common issue with Arma teleport scripts when dealing with people in vehicles; you can move the person, and they'll be at the destination for one frame, but then Arma will snap them back into the vehicle. Hence, the moment of ocean Cy saw. You have to make sure to dismount them first and then move them, which this script apparently did for drivers but for some reason not passengers. Not sure why he wasn't teleported the second time (to the surf club) though. ... this became a much longer explanation than I thought it would be when I started. Sorry, I guess? Hope it was at least somewhat enlightening.

I like how the server error allowed this series to have a completely unexpected ending. Still, poor Cyanide the ghost... will not be forgotten.

I can't believe it, it still gives me goosebumps to this very day the last moments of them remembering the resistance and how these people talk as friends. As you listen to their conversations you get to feel how genuine they are and how it could've been very sad and happy at the same time how the resistance ended if it was real. sad for the people who disappeared and happy for most of the members to function back to the society. I dont know why but this is by far my favorite video and it keeps stabbing my heart every time I watch it.

I like that ending, where Soviet is humming "The Badgers" song and laughing to himself remembering fun memories of total mayhem and anarchy with his friends. And considering that ending, maybe Cyanide was just the embodiment of the chaos of The Badgers members, and when that all ended he just faded into obscurity. But who knows, maybe this is not the end but rather the end of the beginning. And maybe the sparks of revolution erupts once again in Altis, when the imagined leader of Petros appear for the first time. And that in the chaos revolution spread, the embodiment of chaos that is Cyanide will return to spread anarchy across Altis once more.

i think its phase shifting, or cyanide being insane. when cyanide gets shot down, he befriends a turtle which gets murdered by the strafing Apache. after losing the turtle that makes a long and traumatizing swim, he gets back to land to find all his friends dead and loses it, imagining them to still be alive. the rest of the badgers had actually been shifted into a new reality, meaning when they get teleported cyanide is left behind with the figments he has left.
