All of NewJeans' music is created by Korean producers 250 and FRNK. Before NewJeans debuted, most Koreans didn't know about them. However, they were already recognized for their unique musicality and artistry in the Korean underground hip-hop scene. First, FRNK is a producer for the group XXX, which consists of rapper Kim Ximya and FRNK. Their experimental and abstract hip-hop may be challenging for the general public, but it showcases high musicality. While not commercially successful, their music has been highly praised for its artistry. 250 also has a unique career. He started as an underground hip-hop producer with music that is deep and somewhat difficult to understand. He collaborated with another producer, Jinbo, who has worked with BTS, Red Velvet, and SHINee. Unexpectedly, 250 spent over five years studying "bbong" (a genre of traditional Korean pop music often enjoyed by older people). This is why I have high expectations for NewJeans' future. I just hope the political disputes between HYBE and ADOR’s CEOs won’t hinder the incredible future that 250, FRNK, and the talented NewJeans girls are destined to create.

In Korea, "cookie" has no sexual connotation at all. It's never used in that context. So when NewJeans' album came out, no one thought it was an issue. But then, the controversy started among Western fans. Of course, since K-Pop is so popular globally now, you could say that we need to be more aware of these things. Make a little correction on one of the comment here. Aseul or I&S subunit is not damage control of wendy insident. It's already there since the beginning. You can check their sm rookies (pre debut) videos. And their direction is more about performance (known as SMP, you also can googled it) or dance performance rather than vocal performance. So no vocal challenging on their song they replace it with great choreography instead. Aseul is part of dance line in RV. If you just listen the song maybe not quiet easy listening. It's the song you enjoy it by watching the performance. And about wendy, she is already set be the first soloist from RV. About the timeline of when, many believe the I&S first then wendy solo after that just like what happen. Same as their senior group, unit first and then soloist. And this unit have same theme as their latest album at that time. So Aseul album is definitely a follow up from group album. So no one is who replace who. And NO, before aseul sub unit, Seulgi already have so many project & collaboration, you can search in yt. She is one of Idol, for me, who actually can shine without overshadowed her team or patners or vice versa. She make the performance as one whole good performance instead a competition.
