I’m thinking of heading over myself from here in England, try their wines and film. I have two bottles coming today from Amazon, mind blowing to think I haven’t tried Spanish wine before 😲 ……lol I prefer Californian wines mostly but it will be interesting today to try Spanish wine. I’ve been to Boudoux a few times, I’ll probably head there first then La Rioja region. Have a great weekend …… Love the way your wife talks.

Hi! I'm curious what month you traveled? :) I have heard the border crossing between Argentina & Chile in that area (El Calafate to Torres del Paine) is only open during the summer months. I myself am planning an October trip and was concerned if I'd be able to make the crossing!
@TheNearAndAway2 ай бұрын
We were there in October and didn’t have any problems with the crossing…other than the insane wind 😂

Did you purchase your train tickets in Cusco? Or did you purchase ahead online? Love your video. So helpful. Thanks

I think we bought them online a week ahead of time…I don’t remember it being too crazy. We never planned too far in advance usually…so it was probably last minute 😞

Oh sorry…we’re just seeing this message. I tried to find the listing, it looks like it’s not listed anymore. I’m not surprised though, I think I remember them saying they might stop at some point. I hope you love it there…it was one of our favorite places!

Hey! I just rode with PeruRail and it was a really terrible experience. I just want to let people know that in 2024 that its a scam, so that they don't have to have the small experience as me. Overpriced, mean staff, the bus was smelly, gross, and bumpy. Overall, just avoid PeruRail. IncaRail really is so much better! Good choice on taking that train.
@TheNearAndAway5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the info! Yeah we really considered PeruRail, but I think the station was a bit out of town…so we lucked out I guess because IncaRail departed from Cusco. Sorry you’re experience wasn’t awesome 😞

Narda is definitely on my hit list… Given the appalling treatment of women of the dictatorship, this builds hope and dignity. Let’s hope that nutty Milei doesn’t destroy women’s dreams.

@TheNearAndAway8 ай бұрын
I don’t remember the prices…and things are probably always changing, but it wasn’t cheap. We also included the wine pairings which makes things expensive. The menu was pretty experimental fair amount of molecular gastronomy going on. It was a great experience, but not in my top 5 restaurants for. Bogata.

So many questions. 1. What is your top 5 restaurants there? 2. Any suggestions for places to stay? 3. Is it safe?
@TheNearAndAway8 ай бұрын
Yes, we always felt safe there. We lived there for 3 months. The Parque 93 area was great to stay. Safe, lots of restaurants to walk to…it was great. As far as restaurants go: El Chalto, Harry Sasson, Salvo Patria, La Bibliteca (in the Four Seasons), Osaka (sushi, etc)
