Just blame it on the FED, government over spending has nothing to do with inflation.

This is the same problem with Universal Health Care. I shouldn't have to help pay for the health care of the guy whose blood has turned into Mountain Dew from how much of it he drinks. Either we don't allow certain people to have health care or you heavily regulate what people can do

It depends on the kid. I did better when I had to go to a place outside my home to be educated. The same goes for work. Also, not every parent is fit to properly educate their own child. Social outings are a must, and the ability to teach isn't as common as it should be. Then there's the problem of religion. That should be 100% on the parent, not the school, to endoctrinate that parent's child. When the whole point of schooling is to prepare children to enter the working world as an adult, things like political ideology and religion have no place in school. The closest any child should come to either is in his or her history class. The rest can be gotten at home. All this is to say that neither system is perfect, and thankfully, there are resources available to help those that both systems have failed.

Want proof? Just look at the gaming industry alone. Every game in the last 5 to 8 years that was a critical failure had DEI programs and woke ideologies implemented into the companies. Hell, Black Myth Wukong came under fire for not submitting to DEI demands.

One thing that irks me here that seemingly everyone ignores is that crime started rising after 2014. Overall crime has been rising for almost a decade. According to the FBI the homicide rate was 4.4 ten years ago. As of 2022 it's 6.3. It rose to over 7 before coming back down

This only works in a fixed system. In 'merica we just keep borrowing to pay off the interest accrued. That 35 trillion reasons to just borrow more X_x

Another reminder. Paying off the principal of your debt is the best and safest investment you can make. By reducing the principal any future interest that can potentially be included is reduced and the over all cost of the loan is lower. The sole exception to this is getting a mortgage on a home, actually paying your housing expenses to a mortgage instead of perpetually renting is obviously an opportunity that should not be passed up these days.

Maybe a system with a set amount of food and housing that is available for any citizen would be possible. However I don’t know how to control for the future politicians who would turn it into “you vill eat ze bugs, and live in ze pod!”

There should be a slot car lane. Or multiple (slot cars can change lanes and steer nowadays) just make it people sized. Gonna need a strong little rollcage when they tumble. Have em hook together with tech in high speed conga lines during heavy traffic, traffic jam would still exist but the block of vehicles would continue at speed. Maybe way higher speeds than normal vehicles due to the pin holding it into the road. Could have a mod part for say conventional drift cars? Just for fun lol

I call ignoratio elenchi. Having a robust system to protect the underprivileged doesn't preclude the existence of charity and community organization (especially since many such systems encounge such programs). They only way the government can stop people from giving to the poor is either by outright banning it, which no country with welfare has the political will power to do, or by completely eliminating poverty, which is an unrealistic goal.

Socialists want the worker/owner relationship gone altogether, not workers to share in profit of a top down workplace. Whether it be market based or not, the workers have control. Most wouldn't even want to attack smaller businesses so much as big corporations anyway. This is not an own to socialists.

I have mixed feelings about UBI. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if it was used for things that I find abhorrent. The caveat? Get rid of ALL other welfare programs. All of it. You get your stipend. If you waste it, too bad. That's on you. Learn to manage your money.

Where does the money for compounding come from? If 100% of the population put in 100% of the available money, and we had a fixed monetary supply backed by gold, does it compound?

The most outragous thing that makes no sense, is how Ron's group somehow was evenly matched. Seriously, in a fight between the left and right, the right will always win. They tend to stay in shape more, are by far the highest group of people in combat roles, tend to be the people doing construction, tend to be the people who own firearms, have knowledge of survival skills, etc. Meanwhile those people on the left are pretty much mostly know for whining about things they have no knowledge about and screeching their lungs out. It's not a fair fight.

Also the inflation that would go with this whole system too. People are barely making it now, imagine things shoot up 10 percent more to cover UBI.

Eh my only counter point is to question the longterm effects of robitics replacing the workforce. When there arent enough jobs and work for people a UBI based system could help keep our captilastic system while still enjoying the benefits of automation.

There's a marked difference between being good and being nice. Jesus Himself was often very nice: but read his scorching words to the Pharisees when He told them what they needed to hear. He wasn't nice to them: but He was *good*. The truth is good. Lies, however dressed up, are not.

There is a really high chance that most of your wealth is simply your property and as far as I know property tax is in this case working as a wealth tax. Personally I hate all taxes but you are already paying your wealth tax.
