Believe it or not, we’re using an old metal tent stake that we found in a campsite. We just bent another hook into it and hung it off of the eyelet bolt for the skottle leg.

Looking good. I never cared much for rice until I lived in South America. People there eat rice with every meal, every day. Over there they put the rice in the hot pan and toast it a little before adding the water and and any other ingredients. I'm not sure why they do it or what it does to the grains.
