I don't do that up and down thing. But I do lift up the concave side and hold it for 10 seconds, then release, like a side plank. Should I not be doing that either?
@TSCConnect2 күн бұрын
It all depends on your technique, if you're able to maintain a neutral spine in the hold and not over lift your trunk into a curve, then it should be fine but it's difficult to say without seeing you do the movement
@notapplicable99702 күн бұрын
@TSCConnect I try to elevate the concave side and maintain a straight angle, trying to keep the spine as neutral as possible.

@ my doctor said it’s not too serious and I’ll be fine if I fix my posture but I’m a student and my classes require me writing notes and I can’t always sit up straight and on top of that I do art and have been working on a commission and I spend a few hours on it because of it I have a lot of back pain. Usually my parents help me do some exercises which has been helping with my pain :) I kinda knew I had it for a while because I feel like on side of my hip feels a bit more curvy than the other side

Hi, I am 20 year, and I have a scoliosis (7°angle de cobb) and I want to go to the gym and workout, But I am afraid that it will get worse. Can lifting weights increase the degree of scoliosis?
@TSCConnect5 күн бұрын
Scoliosis progression depends on a lot of factors, including genetics and bone quality. However, in general, working out and lifting weights is not shown to increase scoliosis curves (especially in small curves under 15°), but it all depends on the exercises you choose and your technique. Our channel has a lot of weightlifting workouts using scoliosis-friendly movements! Try these: - Lower Body with Dumbbells: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpbYfJ-tedd1gqs - Upper Body with Dumbbells: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZmZfGqOfLKKmqM - Core Workout with Dumbbells: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZWqg3lsnqmpec0

Which side is she laying on. The convex or concave
@TSCConnect12 күн бұрын
it depends - she has a right thoracic scoliosis, so in this situation she is lying on the thoracic concave side. but it really depends how many curves a person has, where is the location of the biggest curve, etc

this is such a great video thank you. Do you have any suggestions on how often to this and for how long before maybe starting to notice greater motion for kyphosis? I am an active person and have scheduled this as a work out once a week but I think I can incorporate some snacksize workouts in between my office hours to loosen up my thoracic too.
@TSCConnectАй бұрын
Hi Rowena, have you checked out our whole playlist that has kyphosis-specific videos? kzbin.info/aero/PLpr1aOXw16nrFC5tbgAHDz8NsMa8iNGyZ You could switch it up and do one of these routines every 1-2 days. The mobility ones are gentle and can be done more frequently, but the strengthening ones are very important so perhaps 1-2 times per week for those. If you want more snacksize workouts, I make monthly exclusive ones for people who join our membership, and we'd appreciate the financial support to keep making more content for you! www.youtube.com/@TSCConnect/join
