I don't know what I did wrong but I did not hallucinate during a 14-day water fast... very peaceful and mental Clarity: but hallucinations might have been fun as an addition ;)

The most important thing during a longer fast is to continue resistance training every other day or so and do some stretching every day as to not lose muscle mass.

I went in 2004 - my advice is to start very early - at least 3am at the latest and take something warm: when you get to the top you are sweaty and when you take some layers of it's then you find that it's flipping freezing !

As for soy products, I'm really not an expert on this topic, but I know I read several years back that the estrogen-increasing properties of phytoestrogen is dependent on genetics that are susceptible to it. It was claimed that about half of Asians have this gene that converts it to estrogen in the body. I have no clue if that claim is actually true.

I know someone who started on TRT in his 20s. Everything seemed great to begin with, but his hormones were thrown out of whack over time. He went through periods of depression and anxiety, which he's never had issues with in his life. I'm not an expert on TRT, but based on what I have read about it, the younger you are when you start taking it, the higher the likelihood of side effects.

It does break your fast and the effectiveness of the fast, but calorie-count wise it's not that much. You're better off breaking the sugar habit though. Just try the next few coffees without. Once you wean yourself off the sugar though you truly will not miss it. I used to have 1tsp sugar in mine but stopped and cant stand it anymore. Many say the same. It's a habit and if you break it you will reap great rewards.

We evolved eating, & adapting to high-fat diets. High fat diets allow us to convert fat into glucose or ketones. Ketones are our brains preferred fuel type. Cognitive & regenerative abilities increased tremendously while in ketosis. Proper nutrition allows us to power our whole brain, allowing us to access memory centers we can't access or use without the correct fuel & adequate nutrients. Noble spoke of a garden, & a banana tree. Plants are indigestible carbohydrates that feed bad bacteria, spike insulin, dopamine levels, kick us out of fat burning, out of ketosis, & into glycogen storage & glucose burning. The glycemic index of bananas changes considerably depending on how ripe they are. Glucose creates a mind fogging inflammatory response in our brain at levels similar to meth & cocaine! The glycemic index of unripened green bananas is still too high for us to remain in ketosis. This creates an insulin spike, & an inflammatory response that damages cells, & triggers a dopamine response causing us to crave more sugar. We've been indoctrinated & brainwashed to believe that we can eat these genetically altered fruits & vegetables year-round. Carbohydrates compete for the absorption of Vitamin C dramatically increasing Vitamin C requirements. Our biology, & short acidic digestive tracts dictate otherwise. We have to be consuming plenty of healthy fat in order to absorb our "fat soluble" vitamins, all of which are important for our brains that are made primarily of fat. Vitamin K2 from ruminant animals capable of converting vitamin k1 into vitamin K2 from animals that eat grass & weeds is a nutrient most people are deficient in our brains respond very positively too. The biology of our stomachs is not designed to break down plant material, or convert the nutrients to a bioavailable form, like ruminant animals longer digestive tracts. Clean water, healthy salt, & fat are all important components that allow us to heal properly. The food industry has created unhealthy alternatives to all of these, & demonized the natural variants as unhealthy. Tallow, Ghee, & grass-fed butter are "clean" healthy fats. They are clean because they were from a ruminant animal that filtered the nutrients with a four chambered stomach biologically designed to remove contaminants & increase the absorbability of nutrients for us, as well as providing additional nutrients from those animals eating grass with long root systems capable of reaching more nutrients. Regeneratively farmed ruminant cows are on average six times more nutrient dense than industrial cattle. Wilder ruminants such as lamb, deer, & elk, that eat more weeds with the longer root systems, have higher nutrient density. Table salt falls far short of the many minerals needed from salt to support our body's ability to heal cell damage, & transmit signals throughout the body. Baja Gold seasalt, Colima seasalt, Celtic seasalt, Redmond's Real salt, & Pink Himalayan salt are the best salts on the market... That I'm aware of, in that order. Without the ability to transmit signals, our mitochondria, cells, organs, muscles, & brains fail to function properly. We need to be burning fat in order to use our "fat soluble" vitamins. There's no such thing as an essential carbohydrate! Two fuel types trying to enter a cell at the same time, causes cell damage. Repeatedly damaging cells eventually leads to cell dysfunction, & cancerous tumors. Glucose speeds up the growth of cancer cells. Sugar & high glycemic complex carbohydrates create the same damaging inflammatory response to our cells, & in our brain, as meth & cocaine! Glucose burns rapidly, & volatile, like rocket fuel, but fat burns slow, steady, & efficient. We burn glucose first as a defense mechanism to prevent it from causing problems. We can derive the 4 grams of glucose we need from fat, & that's all we can tolerate before being kicked out of fat burning & ketosis, & into unhealthy glucose burning, & glycogen storage. We are unable to properly regulate our blood sugar levels when we are creating insulin spikes with sugar & carbs, which signals our bodies to create more insulin signaling the storage of more fat. This glycogen storage is that which makes up the subcutaneous fat beneath our skin, visceral fat smothering our organs, & eventually clogging our arteries, causing heart attacks & strokes. Mixing glucose with protein creates sticky proteins causing glycation in our bodies, & on the walls of our arteries eventually clogging them. We need protein for muscle growth, & organ function. Avoiding sugar & carbs along with getting plenty of healthy cholesterol from ruminant animals will help keep our arteries clean. Our cholesterol goes up on the carnivore diet, because it's supposed to. Our bodies make cholesterol because we need it. On a ruminant animal based diet, we get enough healthy saturated fats to make, & regulate what we need. When our blood glucose levels go beyond 4 grams, we're kicked out of ketosis, & forced into storing that glucose as unhealthy glycogen fat stores. This unhealthy glycogen storage process is necessary to prevent glucose from causing damaging free radicals, & metabolic waste, as it lingers in our body, also preventing it from getting to our brain. When glucose crosses the blood-brain barrier, it can entice bad bacteria to follow glucose into the brain that don't care what damage they cause as they root around in our brain like rambunctious children hyped up on sugar, consuming glucose, & brain tissue, as they multiply, causing neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's, Dementia, & Alzheimer's. Viruses like Covid, & bad bacteria such as Candida & yeast can't survive on fat or ketones, but we thrive! On a carnivore diet we are able to starve out bad bacteria, because they feed on glucose. When we eat strictly ruminant animal meat, preferably more nutritious regeneratively farmed, using fat & ketones for fuel, avoiding sugar, & carbs, bad bacteria don't have enough glucose to feed on. This allows our good bacteria to thrive, & protects us from getting sick!

I can agree on the echo chamber effect, people easily become extreme and don't want to say things to the contrary, but ever since 2019 we should have all learned that already. I've read about nutrition science all my life, the official recommendations never worked and my issues just kept getting worse. Pure carnivore also didn't work for me due to electrolyte disturbances, and Paul Saladino agrees with you too. However, when I eat a lot of meat and saturated fat, I get such a big energy boost I'm outright itching to exercise without even having to think about it, and my skin improved by like 5-10 years of aging. I haven't been able to find a consistent carb source that doesn't bring back my gut issues though, even fruits are a mixed bag. I don't take Saladino's opinion on organs seriously since he sells them, some carnivores feel you don't need them including me, and if I did, I would just buy them from a supermarket. It's a good point to always check what your information source is selling. But there are carnivore doctors and creators who also don't sell anything. If it's about social media engagement, then this applies to you too, inciting drama with your contrarian opinion. The mainstream science has been captured by commercial interests and doesn't work, so I can't take it seriously anymore. When nothing is trustworthy, the only thing left is theory consistency and anecdotes. You have some good arguments though, go on to Saladino's podcast, he has always said it's difficult to get people to come on his show for debate. Could be interesting to see how he would respond about the organ supplements
