Part whole wheat sourdough pita cooked in a skillet. Roti cooked in a skillet or on a griddle. Naan baked in a tandoor is a bit specialized, but amazing. .

Making your own beer, like making your own bread, is not really cheaper. But the quality can be WAY better.

"Knead and set a timer for 30 minutes". "Knead and set a timer for 30 minutes". "Knead and set a timer for 30 minutes". "Knead and set a timer for 30 minutes". By the third one I was like, forget this, I'm not doing that. But... "Let it proof for 2 hours, kneading every 30 minutes". Oh, okay, I can do that, no problem.

I love bread, love bread!! However, I had to give up because I’m diabetic and I did not like what it would do to my glucose numbers. Sure I can eat it and adjust my insulin, but it’s hard for me as my glucose levels go way out of wack. I would be forever grateful if you found a bread recipe that would keep my blood glucose levels low. I miss bread so much and most of the keto bread that you find online are disgusting!! Jake help this bread lover eat delicious breads again!!!

You’re true to yourself and doing what reignites your passion. You’ve shown dyslexic me to make perfect sourdough. You regularly walk me through my sourdough steps as I rewatch my fave vids. I agree with everyone…love your energy Good Luck 🤩

Until this video it never occurred to me. Nobody knows what size pan I'm using. And I didn't know it mattered. Now I realize I'm going to need a different recipe for every pan I have!

You helped me so much with getting over my frustration of constant failure in bread making. Because if your videos, my confidence in bread making has increased and I actually make really good bread to share with others. Thank you!!

I recently noticed that the Robinhood flour we have where I live was the same flour despite one saying "all-purpose" and one saying "bread flour." Made me wonder why they even put them in differently labeled bags...

Thank you for all your inspiration. I have only just started my bread baking journey this year and because of you and I love it! Thank you

If you are into hydration/high gluten development, dont make the mistake of getting this piece of junk. Get a machine with a spiral hook like the Famag multi speed.

My mother had one, made a lot of bread in it. First service was at 25 years of age when it had the belt replaced. Then it lasted for about another 25 years without service. I got one myself, almost brand new at only 15 years of age. Wonderful machine! A few smaller changes has been made over the years, but it is almost the same orginal design. Main drawback is that there are some aluminum cast parts that should NOT be put into the dishwasher!

A 20 minute rest after mixing but before adding butter will also help the gluten along. Best with slightly cooler dough so the yeast doesn't ferment too much during the rest.

And it's the same for beer because beer is just liquid bread.

Hey Jack, it's so great to see you following your heart! I wanted you to know that you've touch my life in a significant way. I first found your videos 5 years ago (pre-covid!), and your advice helped me to create the best sourdough bread I never thought I could ever make. Since then, I've picked up a bunch of stuff from your shop and you've sent me some lovely personalized messages over the years. I've kept it all and use your gear for every bake! You've been a real inspiration to me and my bread making. My skills have developed over the years, and I'm now able to crack out amazing sourdough for my family and friends. Thank you for everything you've done and continue to do, I hope you find the path that brings you the most happiness and joy. Cheers to you, Jack!! -Matt

Jack, I was baking bread( I am new to all this ) and wanted to know if there was a trick to forming the dough into loafs for the pans. I had the great fortune to find your channel. I learned the trick I was looking for, thank you. Then, I watched this most recent one, and, I cried. I am sad that all this is going on for you, and I am going to be praying that this will turn out better than you ever could imagine. In the mean time, try to find peace in the little things❤blessings

I am now into the second week of my sourdough journey… I am Enthralled and overjoyed at how well the bread is turning out! Jack, without your videos I would have never attempted it! I have said for years that “someday” I’m going to try sourdough bread… Well, now I’m kicking myself that I didn’t do it before because it is one of the most enjoyable journeys in bread baking I’ve ever been on! Thank you thank you thank you Jack!!!
