Can someone help me. What holds the stub axle in? I thought it required a retaining clip so I bought one but I can only see that clip used on the passenger side axle and not the stub axle???

How fast can these leak? I cant get mine in the shop until after i get to a job site and thats 1000 miles away and im leaving tomorrow. How often should i stop to check the level?

Hard to tell without seeing how wet the housing is. Was it dry when you bought the truck and lost the 1.5 quarts in the 400 miles since?
@kevinhawkins681123 күн бұрын
Found out my dodge 2500 i just bought has a leaking seal. I topped off the rear, it took 1.5 quarts. I know I drove 400 miles since I bought the truck. What should i listen/look for to know if its damaged? What likely damage has occurred if any?

Hello, I bought a 2003 Cadillac Escalade 6.0 4v and this is my first experience with this model. Then I found out that in my country it is difficult to find a mechanic for this model, and I have to do everything myself. I want to order a repair kit for the front differential "USA Standard Gear (ZK GM8.25IFS-B) Master Overhaul Kit for GM 8.25" from Amazon, tell me, will it fit my Cadillac? Thank you.
@Broncocarl9227 күн бұрын
It should be a direct fit but I'd double check on the manufacturer website for compatibility with your VIN. From what I saw looks correct. Good luck in your repair!

Apparently even sensor safe slime needs to be cleaned off the sensor as soon a practically possible and cleaned off the inside of the tire when it is patched properly at a shop or if you can manage at home. Sensors are expensive and smog law now or something. Yeah, warn the tire guys about the slime. I have seen youtube of a really cool tire explosion. Must still be out there somewhere.

So when your ac was not blowing cold air, and the system was full of refrigerant, was your fan turning on when you turn on the ac from inside the car? I’m currently getting warm air, tons of pressure/freon, but the fan doesnt turn on when you turn on the ac and the ac clutch doesnt engage. The clutch was replaced two years ago, so i don’t think that’s the problem. I added an additional resistor to the low speed fan and scotch clipped it to the high speed fan wire (the high speed worked), but the fan still will not turn on when i turn on the ac. Could the problem be the compressor even though the fan wont turn on?

Video was interesting, but for some reason, I don’t see it as being as effective as a battery operated air cleaner for inside of the truck. The set up is much easier just turn it on no drilling holes no modifications needed .

@@Broncocarl92 Thanks, good video. The pump is leaking, I guessing it's calcium from hard water has fouled the seals. My pressure washer is a Craftsman model no. 580.752400 and the manual has the seal kit part number 193807GS. I ordered the 190595GS hope it fits.

I have a 2018 Tahoe. The driver side stub axle has a bit of wobble and play to it. More then half of what I’ve found online says it’s normal. Even my local transmission repair shop said it’s normal when I called to inquire. It doesn’t feel normal. I saw someone say the “nut” that holds the bearing on the driver side can be adjusted once the tab is removed. Is this what you would recommend? Along with replacing the beedle bearing and seal? I hope this makes it to you. If there’s an expert in front diffs. It’s you. Thank you.
@Broncocarl928 ай бұрын
TBH not sure what nut "they" are talking about. The spanner nuts on the bearing cones are for preload and setting distance from ring gear to pinion. The setting would only "change" if bearing is going away.
@omargarcia12058 ай бұрын
Thank you for responding. What they call a nut. Is what encases the needle bearing that the stub shaft goes through on the driver side.
@omargarcia12058 ай бұрын
This is an older Tahoe but I’m having the same issue on mines. At the 1 minute mark you can see the wobble. Is it really normal? It can’t be right ? I think I might just get a rebuilt diff and swap it out instead of messing around with it given my current skill set. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnW9ZoyImsqceaMsi=aRdmXKSw7qKWNYl9
