What are your thoughts on the roof racks? I see you are rocking one. With the dynamic load capacity of the roof being 30kg (Allegedly, I even saw that number come up in the genuine Suzuki accessories catalog), I am quite worried about getting a full roof rack in there as it basically eats the whole capacity by its self. Thinking on getting load bars as it is basically 1/4th the weight, but obviously they are not as practical as a rack. What has been your experience?

Australia gets Bridgestone dueller 195/80/15 HT as standard. I'm using those tyres on a vw caddy. My cousin put 225/75r15 MT on her Jimni and I got her standard tyres for free. I needed new tyres and wanted more ground clearance so the taller tyres are great for me. I'll put All Terrains on the van next. My cousins Jimni feels like shit onroad with her new tyres but it's a great offroad option. Me personally I'd buy a set of steel wheels for the mud terrains for offroading on weekends and keep the standard for onroad, or put All Terrains on

225/75r15 mud terrains are great offroad but not onroad. If you mainly use the vehicle onroad stick with a size closer to OEM

Would 235 BF At's work with the 40mm Tough Dog suspension, or would 225's be a better choice? Or should I replace my 40 mm with the 60 mm? I just got the 40 mm installed and have the 215's for tires but I would like a little better off road performance so I am considering a little larger tire size. I do not however want to start over with a new suspension if not necessary since it may be quite costly but I appreciate your recommendations... Thanks for your great Videos Raymond!

Nice video , what tyres are those ? The type of tyre does play a key role when dropping pressures n de-beading. I have 31x10.5 maxxis 764 , I take the pressure to 0 and the side wall is still strong enough to support the weight of my zuk . I wouldn't dare try this stunt with a HT tyre.

No problem at all , Toug Dog or Opposite Lock does have a nice roof console availible for the Jimny , that has space for a radio and handset , but that does come at a cost , and you will need an anual license for the radio. Dear Mr. Raymond, good afternoon! What a cool comparison. In Brazil the names are different for the JB74. The GA = 4You (2 versions: manual transmission and automatic transmission). Then come 3 other versions, all with automatic transmission only. I have a question, with no link to the KZbin in question: I have a Jimny JB74 with manual transmission (4You MT, equivalent to Australia's GA) and I've only driven 2,500 km... it's still brand new... but the reverse gear is always makes noise and inaccuracy when engaging... is this normal? I've already tried raising the rpm before engaging... pressing the clutch to shift into 1st gear before shifting into reverse... nothing changes the unpleasant engagement of reverse gear. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance for your education and patience. Best regards from Brazil.

Hello Mr Raymond. Firstly, I would like to thank you for your reports and responses on your KZbins and reviews I'm from Brazil... preparing my retirement after 42 years of work. In my youth, in the 80s, I had a Toyota Bandeirantes (in Brazil this was the name given to the 1st Land Cruiser). I did the maintenance myself. Decades have passed... 4x4 vehicles are no longer produced in Brazil (we had a multitude of excellent manufacturers of 4x4 vehicles, military and civilian). The result is that we have to import 4x4 cars, paying the price of gold (in Brazil, in direct conversion, I paid US$ 32,000.00 for a Jimny JB74 manual transmission). Preparing for my retirement I bought a Jimny JB74 Sierra 1.5 L (K15B engine). @@justjimny Hi Raymond, I have exactly the same question! Based on your great in-depth reviews of the 40 mm Toughdog I was sure that is what I would fit to my new Jimny, but of course they pre-date the Des-Sol Ev1s. I would be very greatful to hear your thoughts on these as well as what you think about the fact that they use progressive springs. Do you think that this is a good thing where the springs are softer on initial bump and then get stiffer? Some people argue that for off-road you actually want digressive movement. i.e. it gets more compliant towards full bump, but I don't think anyone offers this in a lift kit, just single spring rates instead. The people that argue against progressive springs say that because the suspension moves more with a bump, being softer for the initial hit, you're quickly into the stiffer spring rate anyway and therefore the suspension can actually feel stiffer than with the same movement with a single spring rate. Thoughts?
