I'm enjoying your video. I have a question. What kind of effort should I make to apply the CR_Mannequin_BasicFootIK provided by the default 3rd person template to your project? When you simply add a Control Rig node, feet stick to the ground and you can't get results.

i am wandering if you can make the same idea but using the ball to control the character movement directions without making the character roll around himself like orientation movment < i mean if you make the ball in the character capsule 💊 centre and when you move the ball in any direction the character fallow it and pick animations for all directions ... making the ball move in circles around the capsule >> circle 1 ⭕ normal walk the ball far of the center 2 MM C2 ⭕ slow movment 1 MM far of the center by pressing hotkey and C3 ⭕ sprinting and fast movement 3 MM far way out of the center .... and this only control down body only << making the upper body move with the camera view or any attached object like weapon >>> if you understand my idea tell me if it is possible to make in unreal

Hi, great tutorial. I know it's been a long time since you published it, but I have a question: you made it so that if the object to be looked at is too far behind the character, they won't turn to look at it. I need to do something similar, but instead of not looking at it, the character should turn as much as possible in the direction of the object, while staying within natural limits. So, they should give the impression of looking behind them, but without actually turning their head and neck 180°. Do you know how I can do this? Thanks a lot.

this is really cool, i feel like i've watched a dozen videos on stride warping/orientation warping but this is the first one where I've actually started to "get it", one thing I don't understand- on many of the videos I've watched they've talked about needing curves baked into your animation for foot placement/distance traveled. how are you avoiding this? I'm assuming this isn't root motion animation otherwise you wouldn't need stride warping in the first place. do you have distance curves in your locomotion animation? and if you do, how do you create them in the first place?

How can I make it so that the character's direction is preserved, these are coordinates, and the animation of the turn is played from them? Let's say the character stops at -90 and then decides to turn another -90. But not from the standard 0 position, but from the one where they stopped. You have an interesting foundation for study, and I've already started over 3 times and got stuck in the same place, I can't find a solution.

Hello, I think you are trying to find a new starting angle, but you won't find it, because the position your character is in, despite being "-90" is the "0" position, however when starting from the " -90" will start a "-90" position

Hello, please tell me how to make smooth animation transitions during rotation. Currently, they start from the first frame and when I rotate, for example, by -90 degrees, it starts unfolding from the 0 degree position. Because of this, the transitions in rotations look incorrect and jerky. 😟

Can I ask -- the pivot transitions look very nice, but transitions 90 degree transitions (A key then W key, for example) are less appealing in my implementation. Any advice?

I don't understand why no one noted the following point. I probably missed something. The animation is for a 90 degree (or 180) rotation. The animation is triggered when the yaw delta is between 45 and 135 (or > 135). This doesn't match. The effective rotation follows the curve but not in the same proportion. (For example: 50 degrees for rotation and 90 degrees for animation) We can see the problem on a ground that is not uniform, there is a slight slipping of the feet. This does not happen if the rotation is close to 90° but is visible otherwise. A solution would be that target yaw = current yaw + - 90 (or 180). You can achieve this by giving a value of +-90 or 180 to the TurnInPlace curve.
