Over years of experience, I found out that I want my men to be able to make up their mind. So no bi guys for me--learned from deep experience.

Living in Miami Beach, “Tina” is and have been massively popular here and I have on occasion experimented with it on more than one occasion and I’m happy to say that it did nothing for me except not being able to sleep for a few day and oily sweats. I actually couldn’t get hard with it. My doctor asked if I partied and I told him the truth and he was very astonished that I didn’t develop an addiction to it with him saying the addiction rate is 98% after the first use. I’ve seen guys move to south beach and become the new “fresh meat” and a year later sleeping on the street due to that dangerous drug. Please don’t ruin your life with that drug and seek help if you do partake. That includes the company you keep.

I was around in the 70s in Hollywood and now he's talking about the drugs in the 2024 or 2025 they just have different drugs back then but we all did it and the ones who made it out made it out and the ones that didn't didn't oh and by the way they also had AIDS back then and you got it and there was nothing they could do about it. That seems to also have been forgotten in today's age. Oh yeah get off my lawn

I don’t think this was a good storytelling technique. The one person who actually has experience with the drug clearly is cornered and has his judgment questioned by his friends who find it to be some sort of character flaw to use meth or G, not trusting him that he should be able to decide what risks he wants to take. It’s a selfish stance to take. Yes, it’s upsetting to see friends take risks we wish they wouldn’t. But you won’t maintain friends by doing this, and if you genuinely think using meth or G leads to issues with self control, loss of identity, and further questionable judgment, you’re just setting up your friend for isolation because you didn’t display any kind of empathy to begin with. It’s similarly understandable that guys don’t want to meet up with guys who are chemmed up, but it’s unacceptable to say it’s a stain on gay culture that there is a large portion of gay men who use these drugs while having sex. Some of you have very obviously never experienced addiction, and those who have can admit that dismissing the appeal and possibility of safe consumption of drugs doesn’t actually help with preventing addiction or getting addiction into remission. These drugs create extreme sensations and yes, they do cause mood disturbances and completely alter people’s motivation, but so do certain mood and psychotic disorders, and that’s similarly not something that should be viewed as a deficiency in people. Just because you are scared of the potential of addiction doesn’t mean someone who is casually using drugs or in active addiction isn’t worthy of intimacy, friendship, or community.

It’s very obviously a selfish stance given that the only context this comes up among gay men as an issue for gay culture is in the context of gay hookups, because screening for drug users is less preferable to them than not having to screen for drug users. There’s no discussion about drug use in club culture or drug use in certain industries, like shift workers or trucking, drug use and poverty, or anything else. It’s only about the choices gay men make when they’re doing some pleasurable activity where they have to coordinate action with other judgmental gay men.

Maybe the tone of this video went completely over my head, but this seems to be giving a nuanced “hear out the other side” take on chemsex, which is…….. very bad. Countless gay men have lost their friends, family, their jobs and homes, and their lives for getting involved in something they thought they could quit. There is no nuance in the topic of using a heavily addictive and poisonous drug to enhance one’s sex life. This just seems to lightheartedly gloss over the very real and dangerous consequences and makes it a “Well I respect your independence as a grown adult” discussion.
