Behind the scenes on this movie and LOTR have taught me that some scene builders have seriously carpentry skills, and build legitimately solid structures. (The door built to withstand the battering ram comes to mind)

Its so stupid. And the movie was so shitty that director obviously couldn’t care less. So now I know… why dwarves have become such a dumb - ass cattle in the movies.

the people who wrote all these extra scenes really had a problem with arwen. first she becomes this girl boss who defeats all the 9 ring wraiths by herself a feat which not even the most powerful elven lords Glorfindel in the books could do. it was a team effort and the magic was done by elrond and gandalf further upstream. then they added the scene where Arwen leaves aragorn and goes to the grey havens. but halfway there she figures out oh wait a second. if she marries aragorn. they might have a son together. not the brightest of characters out there or is she. she then leads the elves of mirkwood to die in helms deep while their forest kingdom is besieged by the forces of dol guldur. well her role in it got cut in the editing due to backlash. but still. pretty dumb.

Tolkien described the dwarves as moving and being like they are apart of the earth. With elves being the opposite, moving fast a light like the wind. Alot things went wrong with the hobbit movies but the costume design was one of the things they def did right!

Kinda sad for christopher that he didn't land the gandalf tole as it was what he really wanted but i think it worked out pretty well considering christopher has a more powerful aura than ian. Gandalf is supposed to be the most timid among the angels especially when it comes to things about sauron. Christopher always has this strong energy to him

Dwalin the Stalwart Beneath the mountain's shadowed spire, Dwelled Dwalin, bold of heart and fire. With beard of blue, and eyes of steel, A warrior forged with dwarven zeal. In Hobbiton, his journey starts, A quest for gold, for home, for hearts. Through Bilbo’s door, with hood of green, He strides with strength, both calm and keen. A loyal blade in Thorin's fight, He stands unmoved by darkest night. His axe swings true, his courage pure, Through trials grim, his will endures. At Rivendell, in halls of lore, Through Mirkwood's gloom, to Smaug's great door, Dwalin marches, stout and strong, His voice a hymn, his stride a song. In battle fierce, where chaos roars, He carves his fate on foreign shores. Yet 'neath the gold and warrior's guise, A heart of honor deeply lies. So raise a toast to Dwalin's name, A dwarf of glory, grit, and flame. Through song and tale, his deeds shall ring, A steadfast soul, a dwarven king.
