I remove the reel to clean out salt inside. When I put it back, I notice two problems: 1. the handle can be reverse, and the forward was hard to turn when I tighten up the nut. what wrong? can you help?

Worm gear front bearing 2x5x2.5 RD11578 Worm gear rear bearing 3x6x2.5 RD11018 Handle bearings 4x7x2.5 RD13269 Not sure why RD13274 is listed there because it is the spool shaft bearing of stella and not possible fit to ultegra as far as I know.

I realize that this is an older video but you NEVER are supposed to grease carbon fiber drag washers, ever. They complete lose their holding power and slip quite a bit when you do. Older, garbage fiber washers need grease, carbon fiber is so smooth it does not require and lubrication. This is per Carbontex and every other drag washer manufacturers.

How did bearing number 2 (original brass bushing) work longtime? The shaft is sliding linearly up and down in the bushing while the bushing is rotating with the rotor around it. So you have a axial sliding motion combined with a rotation, from my understanding the bearing is a downgrade and waste of money since it is not designed for a axial sliding motion and will scratch the main shaft, or is this a special bearing with a bushing in the inner ring or a teflon coating or something? Did I get something wrong here? Otherwise great stuff! 👍

Just watched a guy disassemble a stradic and a spheros , the body's interchanged perfectly the only difference between them are a few bearings and bail wire

Did it to both my 4000 spheros. They were 5 years old and looked great inside but I'm always looking to make them better.

Nice 🤙🏽 Ha I’m actually torn right now between grabbing a Spheros 3000 or just using a Nasci 3000 for a lightweight saltwater setup. They both have the core protect so it’s interesting especially since the Nasci is lighter, has more bearings, and is cheaper. Great reel.

As of now 9-13-24 Shimano no longer makes the replacement line roller bearing, I texted them and asked where I could buy a replacement and they did not reply. I guess when your line roller goes bad you buy a new reel .l am very disappointed in Shimano.

assuming you messed with the reel a bit before the upgrade have you been able to noticed any distinct improvment in smoothness when messing with it now. like how does each bearing affect feel individually

i took the bail out to clean the inside because sand got inside and when I took it apart there is a spring on the side without the line roller pop out where does it go? been looking for a video that shows how to fix or replace the bail for the ultegra but couldnt find any help!!!

I take my reel off my rods then take the spool off the reel wash only the spool under water then wipe down the rest of the reel with a damp rag , then i hose the rod off on its own when that is done I use my air compressor gun to dry off the rod guides and the spool then re assemble the spool back onto the reel . 😉👍

Great and really informative video, enjoyed every minute of it! Btw, on the sound comparison I noticed the upgraded reel has a clicking sound when spool goes up, do you know what's causing it? I have the same clicking sound on mine new out of box, I've read somewhere it could be related to oscilating pawl.

This is not the correct way - metal plate immediatly after ball bearing (18:12). There must be a shim. And there is too much grease, man!

Im having a horrible time with this nasci and the miravel both wind knot problems and the nasci keeps dropping loops of braid down the spool. I close the bail manually both on gloomis rods not sure whats going on
