He is, and he isnt - he is because he can look at live data and think, then interpret what he sees, and he knows the operating principles of the emissions systems on many vehicles. 99% of folk are bred stupid now.

Long time listener first time caller😊 also non mechanic Ive a P22 FB0064 code coming up on my topdon dongle for my transit custom 2021 with 92k km No engine management light as off yet. Is it just a dirty sensor or would the sensor lifespan be due to replace . ? Ive cleared the code and will check again after a few days

If you don't maintain your vehicle, you can expect problems occurring. OK, a broken wire isn't down to bad maintenance, but in general if you look after it, it will look after you.

Great video as always, did you ever consider working in Ireland, you would be kept busy!
@richie67425 күн бұрын
I don’t think many people would be keen to see Jimmy go , not just Ireland but anywhere else as there’s just hardly many guys like Jimmy who can do this sort of specialist trouble shooting issues but I can believe you have this problem in Ireland too as you have the same spec vehicles 🇮🇪 🇬🇧

,hi mate, whe have you got that clear flued delivery pipe from botle to the injector. I have ordered full set of lauch dpf cleaner, and only black pipe come with it.
@elbuggo25 күн бұрын
It came with an older cleaning kit he had - Waynes?
@BH-tp3pm25 күн бұрын
Answers my question that I asked on a previous video about “do you need to clean the dpf after fixing a fault or will it clean itself” And also - makes total sense too
@MummaBear23 күн бұрын
Imma gonna say no.. The fault wasn't the dpf?
@BH-tp3pm23 күн бұрын
@ I know it wasn’t. But as a result, the dpf pressure was very high, suggesting a build up. A regen would risk fire - as he stated. A clean will reduce the ash content and therefore the risk of fire or over heating of the dpf and cracking.

If you fit a new part, and it fails shortly after, then why on earth would you then fit yet another new part? Common sense would dictate that there is another issue causing the problem. Good work Jimmy, you could teach some lazy mechanics a thing or ten!

To be fair, I changed a sensor before and it came up with a short to ground, took it back and they changed it, exactly the same thing. Took it ba k and got told “I can’t keep changing them, there’s obviously something wrong with your van” put the old one in that was working fine and there was no short to ground code which was my reply to him. Ended up just leaving the old in and getting a refund. new parts can fail or be faulty straight out of the box

@@BenEyahI’ve realised also with some cars and some parts they need to be a genuine replacement (from dealer ) as a aftermarket just won’t cut it or give intermittent issues

Why take advice from a professional! If you know better don't ask them!
