Okay so, you fold your fabric in half, lay your pattern on the fabric so the middle of the front and back are on the fold line, and you cut them out. I don't think this bodice has a seam allowance for the top shoulder seam so you might want to add that, you know the slope for the shoulder, above the armhole? There. You don't necessarily have to but if the armhole feels tight or the whole thing is short, that's probably why, the whole 1/3 total measurement +6cm thing for the armhole length isn't perfect. Anyways! To mark the darts here's what I do - you mark where they are on the edge of the fabric, and then for that point where the wedge meets in the middle of the bodice, poke a hole in the paper pattern with a sharp pencil or something, and just draw that dot on your fabric (preferably with chalk lol) through the hole in the paper. You can join the dot to the marks on the edges to make it easier to sew the dart later if you want :) So now you have your pieces you have to sew them up, it's pretty simple. Sew your darts first by folding your fabric so the two legs of the dart line up, just like you did when you cut out your paper pattern, and sew along the line. The right sides of your fabric should be touching when you do this, so the excess fabric is on the inside/wrong side of the garment, you don't want it to be visible on your final work. Then you just match up the side seams and sew them together with a 1cm seam, and then do the same for your shoulder seams :) again remember when you sew stuff together the right sides (outside) of the fabric should be facing each other, basically you make the top inside out then turn it right way in.

Ai você começou a falar português e foi como se o sol saísse de trás das nuvens fsdihfidsofj!! Tem alguma dica na questão da importação?? E parabéns, a bolsa ficou belíssima

Hii! love the video! I have finished my pattern, but I'm confused about the seam allowance. I usually add seam allowance all around at the end, but since we added 1 cm to each measurement, I'm wondering if I don't have to add the 1 cm seam allowance after creating the pattern? Hopefully my question makes sense haha
@bearhugzfam649
@bearhugzfam649 19 сағат бұрын
Yeah you already added the seam allowance to your measurements :) so let's say your bust is 92cm and your waist is 80cm, you would make each pattern piece 23cm and 20cm bust and waist, right? Just the straight measurements /4 and then you'd add your seam allowance. If you followed this tutorial though you made your block with 24 and 21cm bust and waist, because you already added the seam allowance when you worked out your measurements :) Personally I don't add the seam allowance during drafting because I add different seam allowances for different weights and types of fabric so I always pay attention to this stuff lol hope it helps x

The pattern is really beautiful, but the tutorial isn‘t really helpful, especialy if you‘re a sewing beginner. The flowered fabric isn‘t ideal at all to show the different sewing-steps. Also all happend too quick for me. I had to reduce the speed as much as possible.

This is a really awesome in size and design bag-much nicer than the huge sacks that some carry around with the Hermes label. I'm a guy who thinks Hermes bag prices are beyond absurd. That said, no question, if I were going to make my own version I would absolutely do two things: 1. get an embosser and make my own logo; 2. buy the absolute best quality leather available. I really like the design of the bag in this video-but missing (and maybe I missed hearing it because I skimmed the video, is the number of hours to make it, and the cost of the bag in terms of materials. Oh, and if you need a sewing machine/s to make the bag and don't already have them?...

Before discovering *eudupe* , I was spending a fortune on designer bags. Now, I'm able to enjoy the same quality and style without breaking the bank. My recent purchase from *eudupe* is a stunning Louis Vuitton replica that looks exactly like the real thing. I can't believe how much money I've saved by switching to replicas. I highly recommend *eudupe* to anyone looking for luxury without the luxury price tag.

Hey Coraline! I’ve followed your tutorial and made a bodice from this pattern but I had some problems with it so I was wondering if you could help me out. The final bodice is puckering on the sides (towards the armpit). I made 2 cm darts because my boobs are not that big. Does the puckering mean I should make the darts smaller or larger? Thank you!❤️❤️❤️

I don’t understand two things: why is there a shoulder dart on the front bodice? And the second one: why is the back bodice two centimeters longer then the front one?
@bearhugzfam649
@bearhugzfam649 19 сағат бұрын
The shoulder dart is there because you have a shoulder there lol. You know how your chest is bigger around than your shoulders 'cause boobs? The shoulder dart makes sure the garment follows the same general shape your body does. As for the 2cm at the back, if you look at the human body in profile, the back is generally more upright, while the front has a natural slope due to the bust and the way the shoulders curve forward slightly. This causes your natural shoulder line to be a little further back, not to mention your back typically needs to stretch forward more than your forward needs to stretch back, like when you're reaching forward for something or carrying something in your arms. Raising the back shoulder seam like that compensates for all this and prevents the bodice from pulling backward when worn. If the front and back shoulders were the exact same height, the garment would likely sit too far back kinda choking you, you might have actually had a badly made tshirt that does exactly that they're pretty common with the cheaper print-to-order websites.

Hi Caroline, I was wondering why for this pattern it itsn't necessary to hang the fabric for a few days to let the bias stretch out like for circle skirts? I have made a similar bias cut dress and the side seams ended up sagging, I think because I didn't let the fabric stretch. What do you think? Did the same happen for you for this dress?

I've always been a fan of designer bags, but I could never justify spending thousands of dollars on them. That's why I was so excited to find *eudupe* . The replicas here are incredibly realistic, and I've never had anyone question their authenticity. My recent purchase is a Burberry replica that looks so real, even my fashion-conscious friends can't tell the difference. Thanks to *eudupe* , I'm able to enjoy the luxury lifestyle without the high price tag.
