I'm trying to find a tutorial to fix backlighting from a window behind the subject. Live video so it can't be re-recorded. Any suggestions on that?
@NathanCarterVids25 күн бұрын
@SpaceNinja321 so there's a window behind the subject that you're trying to alter? If so the first question would be: is the light from the window clipped?

I'm sharpening video wrong? Not another thing I'm doing wrong. I'm washing my car wrong, I'm cleaning tiles wrong, I'm doing subtitles wrong, I'm sitting wrong. I'm peeling onions wrong. I'm voting wrong. I'm exercising wrong. I'm doing everything wrong. Is there any reason for going on? Maybe I should just give up and end it all. But I'd probably do that wrong too.

Hey, amazing video, thank you! Do you have any tips for the color compressor on very low iso - grainy video? It helped me with the highlights, however the affected area looks somewhat flickery and unnatural.

I have just 1 question. Why did you stop uploading?
@NathanCarterVidsАй бұрын
@dennistruong6983 fair question. Honestly I just did this to keep myself busy during the lockdown. As soon as restrictions eased up I was able to get out and work again. I did have fun making all of these videos and engaging with a great audience, but through this I discovered being a "youtuber" is not actually something I want to do.

I got lost at 1:09. You used the qualifier to pick the sky and then quickly clicked button on the upper left which I don't have. It was some sort of selection tool because when you clicked it , it isolated the image to just what you selected with the qualifier. What is the name of that tool. Where is it in Davinci 19?

Maybe you can help. Is this something that would work with large grainy spots going in and out of old films? They were recently digitized from the late 60s early 70s. Just trying to clean them up as best as I can. Any help is very much appreciated.

Too bad the tings you're using have moved now, otherwise a good video.
@NathanCarterVids3 ай бұрын
Still feels pretty applicable. I just did a version of this on bunch of shots in a project last week. Key for the luminance, may need to mask it. and away you go making adjustments. Colour warper can be great for things like this too.

curious, why not add a matte node of said clip which defaults to black and white and send the luma information over to another node after your grading, and sharpen using the mist setting which will only target high luma values etc?

Nate ..... I've been editing for years and have only just come across this awesome technique! I've often avoided great tunes that just don't end well.... so no more of that nonsense. Now I can end a track almost anywhere. Great job! ps - it works on DA Vinci 19.2 beta!

I'm a beginner , self taught since few months, in my views , it is better to depend on the skin tone line while doing colour correction, Once we achieve a base after correcting ,then we can go the look we want and still consider skin tone indicator line to see how far we are pushing the look as graphs speaks better than monitors, please correct if I'm wrong
