He didn't listen to the doctors, and he passed away from lung cancer and cirrhosis of the liver, at age 56, in the late 1970s. Back then, as soon as a truck was a couple of feet ahead of a truck that it was passing, the slower truck would flash his high beams and the faster truck would move over immediately, then flash his marker lights to show thanks for the "you're clear" signal. That was on two lane roads. Staying to the left any farther than a few feet was considered bad manners at best and dangerous at worst because of the chance of unexpected traffic entering the left lane. Truckers trusted each other in those olden times so long ago. You seem like a safe driver, Ralph. Good for you. I hope that you continue to be avoid being hit by all those fools you show in your videos.

I'm a retired OTR driver and only live 40 miles from this place. Passed by it literally thousands of times. Finally, once I had to stop to see for myself. Free food, free parking, no pressure from anyone. Care to leave a donation? They will gladly accept it. Want to just drive away? No problem. They understand down and out, or just a bit tight until the next paycheck. Not Bible beaters. Just friendly folks.
