Having trouble getting the maunel valve to line up the valve body I order it’s stuck

Rough up shifts close to redline when flooring it 1st to 2nd and sometimes when downshifting from 5th to 4th when flooring it. Hoping to make repairs based off your video. Thank you. 🙏

15:52 what are those two pipes (on the right side) of 'the pump'?? I have tubes coming off there, runs till under the intercooler, when removing the intercooler, these pipes just end?? They don't go anywhere!? Tge ends are open (not plugged or anything)!?! Been driving the car with no issues or leaks.....just removed intercooler and wondered what those are???

Hello. Great video. Is there something like a 17pin and 15pin transmission? My mechanic is rejecting a piston kit I bought claiming its for a 15pin transmission even though it matches my VIN. He insists he has to purchase it himself but the price that's way higher than what I got this for.

I’ve been a professional auto tech 20+ years. The majority of techs I’ve worked with would not know to put gear oil in the final drive/diff. Most transmissions at least nowadays the trans fluid lubes everything and when a guy makes a mistake like this by not putting gears oil in it’s always the excuse of I didn’t know I’ve never had to do that before. If I were you I wouldn’t even install the fill plug or drain plug if it has one and give a qt of gear oil in the shipping container or to the customer if they pick it up. I own a repair shop and idk how you trans shops deal with carry out stuff like this that is obviously installation error it would drive me crazy. I couldn’t imagine the amount of units getting sent back because the converter wasn’t in property installed and ruined the pump.

Do you think with the increase of power I should consider rebuilding the transmission with a reliable shop like yourself? I am in australia and the only place I know that may do what your doing here would be alldrivesubaru but they mostly just do manual gearbox builds sadly. I mean I could rebuild it the same method as you but dont have a big enough garage to use atm

Hello. I have a 2001 toyota sequoia LTD 4.7L and since I was advised never to change the Tranny oil by toyota, the tranny went out and showed the planetary gear chopped up and causing a hum when on OD. The guy tried to re-build my tranny and every time it was put back on the check engine light kept comin on saying "Solenoid E Error". He replaced all the solenoids, the tork converter and still the error keep comin on. So after about taking the tranny down 5 times, the guy ordered a re-built tranny and the error went away. No one could figure out what solenoid E was including the 2 toyota dealers. So can you please tell me which one is Solenoid E? it does not show in any toyota service manual. ty

8870 is for A760 or A761 I think, AB60 should come with 89010.

Can use valve body only with one hole for the temp. sensor, and leave one loose, fi the car originally had 2?

I have a 370z, Jatco RE7R01, and I wanna boost my vhr to 650-700whp, what kind of build do i need for this amount of power? Im not very experienced with transmission builds, but what i have noted down so far is the fast intentions flex plate. Do i need to upgrade the torque converter? Do i need to upgrade any other transmission parts?

A co-worker rebuilt one of these units last year because it only had reverse and it had p2714 and p0771. Not its back here a year later with p0771 and "delayed shifts". The pan magnets didnt look too bad, the unit air checked pretty good and the valvebody looks ok. I didnt find any stuck valves and the checkballs looked ok. The only thing i found during tear down was a damaged filter o-ring. Any ideas on where you would start the diagnosis. I dont have mych experience with these units. Thanks in advance.

Hey after replacing valve body TCM from another vehicle( due to codes p0720 and p0500 on my Q50), I got the code p1734 and related codes. I replaced fluid 2 more times including unbolting and clean the filter but to no avail. It still goes to limp mode sometimes at low speed. After 3 weeks researching I dropped the pan again and found it missed the bolt E, alignment bolt. Do you think this is the reason it goes to limp mode?

Did you say a new ribbon is included with the rebuilt 01M Valve Body, once it's shipped back?

I need help with my 2011 Sequoia 230k. In the cold, stuck in 3rd gear, but after the transmission got warm, I restarted the car. It works very well, but in sum time, it doesn't work only if i wipe the code from the ecm by scan tool , (p0761 Shift solenoid 'c' performance or stuck off) In my country, Everyone told me to change the transmission but I want to fix it . What is the real problem and how to fix in on my original transmission . Also my 2005 ls430 has the same thing, 😢,

Fantastic guide! Cleaned a valve body for my 05 Subaru OBXT. Was hunting for an open circuit leading to ATF Sensor 2 (located on the range switch). Turned out that the valve body was fine, all the wiring on the actual valve body were fine, the thermistor on the range switch read the expected values. But hey, clean valve body, memory reset, and junkyard wiring harness and back in business. Ended up being a hidden break in main exterior wire harness that leads to the valve body connectors. Continuity test showed no continuity between main plug bell housing side, and the corresponding wire. Using a telecom microphone found the break to be in the plastic plug portion of the main harness. No idea how that could have resulted in an open break. Food for thought for anyone, it might be worth doing a continuity test first if you are experiencing similar issues. Something about these harnesses that Subaru uses develop open circuits.

Looking at the OEM Nissan Parts online shows the control module available but there are two different versions that both say they're compatible with my 17 model Titan 5.6L with the 7 speed. Why do they list two different ones and say they're both compatible? I'm very disappointed in Nissan. Shame too. I've been loyal to them for almost 30 years. What happened to Japanese reliability?

To completely go through the helacious job of a transmission replacement only to have your car not move... I would rather chew and swallow a pound of glass do a Subaru transmission.

Looking at this from a different perspective. I have a 4EAT that seems to be leaking from the oil pump housing, the area between diff abd transmission that some 4EATs even have a small bolt in the center. This one has it you can see at 2:18. Question is if it was leaking from a speed sensor or from the RTV gasket Before you started tearing this thing down I noticed the big black grime spots, and the main build up underneath between diff and trans. I wonder if failure of the RTV is a common thing. It looks like thats where there was a leak in this case or fluid coming out of one of the speed sensors. Do you know anything about this?
