Hi, I have z30 with a lens 18-140 mm 3.5-5.6. What do you think about this lens? In your opinion is still better the lens that you describe in the video? Thank you 😀
@visualsbyst13 күн бұрын
Hi, I’ve never had that lens, but from what I’ve seen, it’s a good lens. Funny thing, I just watched a review of that lens yesterday. It’s a good lens, but it’s much different than 24mm f1.7. The 24mm is small and fast. The 1.7 aperture lets in a lot more light, so it’s better in low light. On the other hand, the 18-140mm has a nice focal range. It’s more versatile for traveling. It also focuses pretty close with a magnification 0.33x or something like that, which makes it better for close up (macro) shots. So, it all depends what you need. If you’re happy with your lens, there’s nothing wrong with it.

Z50, Z30 and ZFC have that same mount and no IBIS. Right now, it doesn’t seem Nikon is interested in making a serious APSC camera. One thing I've noticed is the prices of cameras are twice the price compared from 10 years ago but the megapixel count is the same. I have an Sony Nex 5n and the fullHD video is great if you have correct light setup and the photos are great too if you have good light setup. It's would be interesting if you bought a older sony camera and took the same picture. Would it show that much of a difference?
@visualsbystАй бұрын
The megapixels aren't the only important thing. TVs have been 4K for a long time now. More pixels only means larger photo, not better quality. In fact, you could argue that fewer pixels means better quality. It depends. I don't know if I would get the same results with an older camera. It depends on the camera.

Actually, I don't think that's it. If you take a look why, you'll see that it's because in the 8-bit video, the TV is on, so that gives it the banding. If you look at it around 4:00, the TV is on for both videos and in both you have banding on the wall.

@visualsbyst2 ай бұрын
I'm not sure why it wouldn't be autofocusing while in manual mode. Are you talking about manual focus mode or manual exposure mode? Maybe it is resetting the focus to manual when you switch. Try switching to Manual Mode and then pick autofocus again. If you're 15 ft away, it is possible that the camera can't find your eyes/face and that's why it's hunting. Especially if the lighting on your face isn't the best. What and where are you recording? Is it outside? Is it backlit by the sun sometimes? That might affect it. Your last resort would be to place an object where you will be standing, focus there, switch to manual focus to lock focus and then stand where the object was. Hope that helps.
@goodmanfishing2 ай бұрын
@@visualsbyst Setting it to the "M" on the dial, not manual focus. I reset it to factory settings a few weeks ago, and for some reason it still seems to struggle. The lighting on my face may not be sufficient, but I am using a 85mm lens, so it does get a good zoom in on my face at that distance. I'll have to keep messing with it, perhaps trying to turn the autofocus sensitivity down may help it from trying to be razor sharp all of the time.

IBIS is my big ask. The Nikon Dx VR lens lineup is filled with terribly slow glass compared to what other companies offer; in-body stabilization would be a godsend mated with more Z lenses. If 10-bit doesn't come out of the gate, it'll be a firmware update announced at launch -- especially with the RED development. The UVC protocol should allow for full-res USB C use. Built-in timecode support would be nice given it'll have a new CPU and some internal memory upgrade. Two cards? I don't think so? Thermal requirements in the body size may not handle 4k60 and dual card writes. But it'd be nice. I don't give too much of a toss about the LCD screen res because, well, film training y'know? It's like how 20-plus frames/s still shooting still seems like cheating. But I get it, and that said I think the screen will get an update-upgrade if it works with what Nikon can purchase them for per the expected production run and expected RMAs.

@@visualsbyst Absolutely. But, in the sense of canon thinking we could see a possibility, like Canon did with "the canon Eos R7 and Eos R10" or "the canon Eos R6 II and the Eos R8", it is something normal and fair for the consumer. Or even like the logic of the Nikon Z9 and Z8. If we have a Nikon Z90, in the same logic thinking of the Nikon fullframe line, at least it has to beat the Fujifilm XH2S and the Sony Fx30 and A6700, but not even think to compete with Canon Eos R7. Because it is already the worst one of the Top Aps-C Market right now. So, nikon z90 should have the same specs of the nikon z9, and nikon z50 mark2 should be the Z8 version of the nikon z90. And the nikon zfc, should be the coolest unique photographic style Aps-C against his biggest sister the Nikon ZF (fullframe), or the fuji ones.
