Let's be honest, we all just want the Sims 2

You showed LilSimsie, but even though she built for the snowy escape pack, she criticizes the game all the time. Even Snowy Escape, because she says it's pretty broken. Also there are video's where she has loads of criticism on sims 4 and says she prefers sims 2 or 3 in ways. She always says 'this game is expensive, I know a lot of you wait for sales, i'll show everything so you can decide for yourself if you want to spend that or wait untill sale' etc. She even said "this pack is not good, if you really want it wait for sales' etc. She also said of the Love pack and For Rent pack that they were pretty much unplayable due to bugs. That said, a lot of her fans are stans and have that annoying hateful passion teenage fans of boybands have. It sucks that you got harrassed like that, sorry to hear it.

As long as people are dumb enough to buy it EA will keep making it. Outside from buying the packs for a funny review like LGR I have no sympathy for these people. They ignored years of red flags.

I used to give The Sims 4 the benefit of the doubt back then, as someone who wants to enjoy playing the game but hates the way EA milks it as it breaks and also crashes people's computers due to DLC overconsumption. I figured they'd make it up to us and listen after the abysmal release of the Journey to Batuu pack.. Shame on me for believing that once as soon as they started rolling out the DLC kits and taking further advantage of their player base to the point they're now openly defending the devs because they'd rather get "offended" over "mean words" (genuine and fair criticism) instead of actually fixing the game. And the new Cozy Kitsch and and Sweet Slumber Party kits may as well be called the 'Simtimates Collection and Basement Treasures Kits: Part 2' but with a creator kit label on both of them. I'll still play The Sims 4 because I do find enjoyment out of it in some ways, but I'm tired of the endless slop that has essentially killed the game and turned so many people off to where a lot of the content feels very pointless and unnecessary.

Very interesting watch! Thanks for sharing some facts. I do enjoy playing the sims solo, but I did always wonder about the simfluencers. We all know the sims is not a perfect game. And how are these people not getting bored! I play for like 2 hours a day for a week and I’m bored. But yeah… I will be unsubbing to some creators now! Also, ignore those horrible hateful comments. They only come from hateful people 🫶

I don't really care if simsie were to be an EA shill, because the more viewers she has, the more money goes to charity. she routinely hosts charity fundraisers. so there's one good thing coming out of it at least. of course, no ones perfect, but i can respect the amount of fundraising she does

people need to realize: corporations do not care about you. they do not care about the quality of their product. they only care about maximizing their profits. this is why i don't understand why people are against piracy (regarding major corporations, not indie studios). i proudly pirate all my sims dlc even though i can afford it. i just refuse to give EA a dime for a cash-grabbing, buggy shell of a game.

i love sims. but that's where it ends, i have nothing to say about ea or simfluencers, all for money.

The term shill suggests some devious intent on lilsimsie's part, and I just don't feel as if that's the case, personally. I also think it's somewhat irrelevant bringing up the behavior of her fans. No one can control their fan base and hers is so huge at this point, I'm sure it's become very hard to moderate and keep things nontoxic. However, I do agree that the bigger sims youtubers are kind of stuck with Sims 4 at this point as their livelihoods absolutely depend on continuing Sims 4 content. Anytime they branch out you get a ton of people asking, "when are you going to play sims 4 again?"

The Sims is sadly dead. The people that made the old Sims are gone and the new developers lack the talent and vision to create a game like the 3 everyone loved.

If I recall correctly, I think, ALLEGEDALLY, they have to no longer make free cc under their name. That's why they had other people take it over because they signed with EA. In my mind, that's nothing but a mistake.

The only sims reviewer I trust is LGR

Sims 4 always felt like a disappointment since day one. The game play even today feels lackluster and I get bored of it really fast. I quit playing it a couple years ago and just play Sims 2 and 3. I think a lot of Sims 4 players are new to the franchise and haven't played or played very little of the previous games. They're milking the trap out of it and probably will for a long time.

Imo most of the furniture in The Sims 4 is just ugly so when i was playing it i always used to rather use CC. I think that when EA sponsor a CC creator to make a DLC they just downgrade their quality because the Sims 4 has an specific type of aesthetic that is just bad.

No wonder why most Sims 4 KZbinrs just build and are boring and family friendly as fuck, they are just following a damn ass contract.

Honestly this is a huge reason why I stopped playing the game. Most of them just glaze EA and the game. It would be really nice to watch people who read into ea for how they are killing the game…. But nope it’s always the same toxic positivity.

I haven't bought any expansions for TS4 for like... 5 years, and I don't think I've even played it in like... 3. Booted it up near the end of the pandemic, played an hour or two, and haven't touched it since.

This goes for all EA games too... like as someone who's a fan of sports and used to play sims literally all EA and these creators care about is money 😭

That's too bad. I did get a feeling that some simfluencers are being told what to say/not to say. I specifically un-subscribed to a lot of them after the disastrous wedding pack. There's absolutely no excuse defending it. I am only subscribed to players who tell the state of the game as is (Pixelade, James Turner, Satch, Plumbella), and a few builders who don't care about how broken the game is (Gryphi). It's always the stans who are scarier. Hope it doesn't bother you as you're beautiful.

7:14 as a console player, once pc player, and i’m sure you’ll say something on this but- i appreciate these kits for once. i wish it could be more like minecraft marketplace, as because of that i’m now a proud patron of the deco-craft mod and can play it on my playstation. i’ve been missing that in the sims, when i actually play it. if we can’t have real mods and this is the closest we can get, and if modders are willing to do this with their content i don’t see why it’s an issue.

I mean, of C O U R S E the simtubers are in EA's pocket. They have to play nice or else they don't get any of the content for free. It's the secondary reason why LGR stopped reviewing sims 4 content, because they stopped sending him game packs for free since he wasn't groveling at their feet about how great they were. And when the game isn't even worth the bandwidth to download, can't blame him for stopping almost entirely, since he does still cover the ones he thinks look interesting. The game is also now bloated to the point that one of the things that was an initial selling point (quick load times) is now no longer true. There is so much crap jammed into the game that it's clogging it. Not including all the bugs from packs that may have conflicting code, just like the ones they left in 3 and never fixed. Also, EA wouldn't be above pulling a Bethesda and monetizing their modding community. I'm honestly convinced a large reason why The Sims Resource got away with monetizing CC for so long against EA's EULA was that they were slipping EA a cut under the table, and only stopped when TSR became a liability to the sims branding. But that's just my own conspiracy theory.

These videos crack me uuuup, I Love them! I'm a simmer from Sims 1 and 2 gen. who still plays these ANY other day and ONLY recently have I been peaking through sims 4 and all I can think is Sims 4 could never beat the originality and chaos of the previous which makes the game fun which is kinda sad to think cause that's what innovation is supposed to do ain't it? And this is coming from someone who only buys when they are at least 50% off and who has a couple of packs already. I kinda feel sorry for these peeps who actually have the time of day to dally so much on this hate~ to blatanly insult, threaten and spread so much hate on mere opinions on a game that gaslights them to oblivion??
