Wow! Please tell me this house isn't going to be demolished! You were right... This one blew me away! As a car guy, I was drooling over the garage. I could just picture it filled with 60s and 70s muscle cars. The foyer, master bedroom and the balcony off the back of the house were incredible features! This place is so clean and well kept I could just move right in. Despite it being so big, the house had a warm and cozy feeling. They sure don't make them like this anymore. Thanks for posting this one champ! It was one of the best houses I've seen in quite some time. I'm looking forward to catching your next premiere on Thursday evening. See ya soon! 😊

So you have legal permission to go in here and sift through people's stuff? Why don't you film your opening the door and getting into the house. That would somewhat prove you're not just trespassers. Also, if you know anything about architecture, the house and the elements of gingerbread trim and the shape of the windows tell us the house is probably 30 to 60 years older than that. What you thought is a tea table is actually a wash stand. You put your bowl and pitcher on there before you had running water. They were usually found in a bedroom. Not a 30s house. You can see the house was not originally built with running water as the cast iron stink pipe is going up through the upstairs bedroom. If a house is built with a bathroom, that pipe is hidden in the wall. You thought it brought water from the roof, NOT, it carries sewer gas fumes up to the roof and out of the house so you don't get gassed. By the sinks, it was 30s to 50s somewhere when the house got running water. Lots of lovely vintage wall paper in that house. The beds are ancient, but someone thought to cover them with plastic, like someone's coming back, and yet sadly no one has cared to come and take care of it. You cannot see if there are square nails in the frame construction unless you tore a wall out. Nails driven in the basement are no clues as you can see much of what was done there was an after thought, and that is not a water cooler that is wrapped in the basement, it's the water heater. You really need to familiarize yourself with what things are called or just film and don't give comment or better yet, if you don't have permission to be there, stay out. If you didn't know that "it looks like someone does check the place once in a while" that tells me you're in there without permission. Sad.
@UncappedFilms
@UncappedFilms Күн бұрын
Sigh. The reason I don't show people how to get in is so that if someone knows a spot they don't just go there and mess it up. There's a reason why I do that. I never claimed to be an expert in architecture or anything else, I just pointed out what I see and say what I say. I depend on the good viewers to correct me and give me information that I'm not familiar with so that I become familiar for the future. Thanks for watching

Hi Greg, Thanks for posting this exceptional video of a very beautiful home. What I found interesting was the garage out back that had a lift, This home would be perfect for me and my future car collection. I think the tiled area on the main floor was a mini bar ( ?) as the one downstairs had that also. The room with the purple insets, looked like maybe a dining room ? Such a shame a very well kept home would be demolished. For me tho' I don't think I would be able to afford todays taxes on this property. Great video !

Hey Don! Thank you so much for checking out this video I really am happy that you enjoyed it. I agree with you that was extremely interesting that the garage had a hoist, they obviously were a super car fanatic and had a huge collection based on the size of the garage. I would absolutely love to know what they had. You're the second person to suggest that tiled area in the dining room might have been a bar area. I think that works for me and also makes sense. I don't even think I noticed that downstairs. I'm sure the taxes on this property were absolutely insane yearly. Thank you so much again for your amazing comment that I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed it, I hope to hear from you in the future!

A well taken care of home, looks almost as if no one has ever lived there. Mr. and Mrs. Homeowner were likely both successful professionals. Thanks for the tour Greg! Stayin Tuned! 👍🤠 Notes: 1:56 I bet there was ornamental fish. 3:39 Wasps with impeccable taste in location. 5:34 Jay Leno wannabe garage. 1/20th or less anyway. 13:24 Hideous color combination, hideous wainscoting too imo. 21:58 Poor location next to a fireplace, heat from the fireplace would fool the furnace into not running, making other parts of the house cold. 22:09 A space for a buffet is my best weak guess. 23:46 Yes, very cheap appearance in comparison to the rest of the house, it should've been tile. 24:32 Do not blame the electrician because the trim carpenter didn't or wasn't around yet to inform the electrician of a specific box location at rough in time which was much sooner than finish time. 31:16 One of the better finished basements I've seen with lotsa wood. Ground level at the rear is a plus, the bomb shelter feeling of living underground is nonexistent.

What a beautiful home and property! There's nothing there I don't like other than the cabinets hanging at face level between the kitchen and dining area. 5:40 OMG! I'm jealous! I want that garage for all my antique vehicles! All I have is a quonset with a dirt floor. Wow, that kitchen reminds me of our home when we first bought it, but ours was much smaller! 22:15 I wonder if that small tile corner was to feed pets, so that their slopping doesn't ruin the hardwood?
@UncappedFilms
@UncappedFilms Күн бұрын
Hey Lynn! Thank you for checking this one out, I agree it's an absolutely stunning home and properly. You don't like those cabinets even though they're dual-sided? It would open the area up if they were gone though I agree. That garage is the most amazing thing I've seen on an abandoned property. You know it wasn't cheap to build and you know it was meant for something important. Some people suggested that small tile corner was for a little bar. What do you think?? Thank you again as always for being there, couldn't do this without you part of the group!!

@@UncappedFilms No, I had the same type of cupboards in this place when we bought it, and I hated them. In order to see and speak to whoever was sitting at the table, I had to keep bending down. In addition, trying to stir a large pot of something was a hassle because my hand would keep banging off the bottom of the cupboard. The tile corner for a small bar? Yes, that's definitely another very good possibility. I'm sure we'll never know, with any certainty, how the home owner planned and used that corner. It's a forever mystery.

Hi Greg, how are you? That beehive that was hanging from the front door. I actually thought that was a chandelier at first. Had you not said anything I would have thought it was that that's massive. Hopefully it wasn't active because you would have got stung, And I recently saw you in Noah's video of Jesse's Junior restaurant. The Philippine one. It's funny because that's my son's name and his father lived in Toronto but never heard of it before. And no, we're not Philippines😂😂. The very first room with the fireplace was pretty cool, not a bedroom because it would have needed a closet to be considered a bedroom, but I found it kind of odd that the fireplace was near carpeting. I've never seen that before. Usually it's not that close to carpeting like that seems pretty dangerous to me but it doesn't look like it was a room that was used a whole lot either. I do like the wood cabinets In the kitchen the only thing I don't like about them is their handles would have needed something different It's surprising how small the kitchen is though, but of course I think it was '90s where they started to make like an open concept I think. I do like the kitchen floors and the fact that they're still in really good shape.😊 I don't understand. The living room dining room flooring in there. That's kind of weird. Never seen that before. Even if there was a table it's not in the right spot. Lot of closets in the hallways kind of weird and a lot of bathrooms the room with a three different wallpapers I think it was Pinky purple. Not sure. Not even sure what kind of room that was or the purpose of it. I like the fan with the flowers on it. The blue flowers that match the balloon valances by the way, there really is no need to show the toilets that is really gross. By the way, I know it's your famous thing brown bomber but yuck 🤮. The basement's massive and yes like you said there was no money spared on this place. Cedar closets were only meant years ago for fur jackets and that's why they put them downstairs cuz it's kind of like they're cool as in temperature wise and the smell of the cedar would help the jackets. Well thanks again for your exploration. I really enjoy them and this house was massive and really really nice if only we could afford them😂😂

Hey Lee!! I'm doing well, I hope you are too.. That hive was soooooooooo big .. Luckily it was not active! OH you just saw that video eh? We did that one a long time ago, if you haven't seen mine, I posted it in november 2023. That's funny the restaurant is named after your son! I've had houses where carpeting went right up to the fireplace brickwork.. I wonder what the room was then? Just a hangout room? I can see you noticed all the great features and details of this place. The basement was incredible.. They definitely had cash to spend. Would you change much about this house if you had it? Thanks again Lee, I appreciate hearing from you every week!
