Not impressed with their presentation. I've seen their products and they are no better that some of the other lifts. Quality good, price not so much. You have to know what to look for...

Thanks for the video. how about in a hot and humid weather and an open roofed garage, is it still beneficial to use IR lamps? Im in a tropical country 🙂

Wtf? You're kidding me, right? Are you telling me by color sanding a car you cut with the DA? Bs I used both first the rotary and then the D8 but there's no way you can cut faster with the D8 Show me!

Been seeing a lot of detailers selling an "ultimate detail" and really only give you a wash and a spray on ceramic that is buffed by hand with microfiber and calling it a exterior detail! So rediculous. Makes it hard to compare prices when half the places lie like this and never touch an orbital. I now have to ask what brand polish they use and if it includes orbital in their 1-step polish.

Great video and channel! Quick question, what's the best pad to use if you want to freshen and renew a ceramic coated car that has light scratches? Also what would the prep be like?

Why would a detailer need to know how thick the paint is it should be clear coat thickness that matters to know if doing a high buff on the car your not going to burn through the clear coat makes sense I looked it up it details coat measuring not paint.paint is a underlayment not a coat like clear coat exactly what it says...😂😂😂

That wheels stand you made there. Where did you get those parts? Is that something ready to go that you bought and just attached to that board? PS, you guys are doing some of the best detailing videos out there period. I’ve learned so much from them. Cheers

Mass produced cars do come without orange peel, my volvo s60 from 2004 is a mass produced car, still wearing the original paint from factory with no orange peel what so ever.

i wear a "headlight" and the defects can be seen easily as im working. no need to overlap my strokes by half and all that because I can see exactly when the paint reaches clarity and I'm not removing perfect undamaged clearcoat. Why would you spend all this money on tools and products to blindly grind off someone's clear coat in a consistent manner using perfect technique and then pick up a two-dollar flashlight to see what you've done. think about this... the typical new cars finnish is the thickness of a piece of paper so if you're not a competent automotive refinisher maybe you should become one before you start grinding the clear coat off of cars.

Great and informative video! I've got a question though. I recently purchased a used car which has a 2-4 year old professional grade coating on it . The surface of the car has a lot of swirls smaller scratches which are visible in harsh direct sunlight. I want to polish the car to remove some of theese defects and portentially restore some gloss. Will i be able to get a good result, even if i dont remove the coating entirely? Is it possible to polish a coating? Or will it just leave more defects in the coated surface until all the coating is gone?

Let's talk about how many batteries I would need to have for this 1000$ machine to effectively polish a whole car, when the stated battery life is 45 minutes. And if I would use the wired adapter, then why bother with a battery powered machine? Battery life gets lower with time as well. And for very specific use cases where you just quickly grab it to see of you can polish a spot...1000$ LOL no way

The only downside of a DA is the extreme vibration when compared with using a rotary which has none. For that reason, and that reason only, I still prefer to use a rotary 90% of the time.

yes I would agree that the initial investment is high, but the refill cost is not that bad plus the system is a very high-quality unit and is much easier to change out the cartridges over A big tank where you have to dump out nasty resin..

Saw one of your comments on Amazon or someone in the comments mentioned you. It was on the Sonax perfect finish polish. I’m in the same process, work FT, so over working for other people. I’m also a state employee, oh you loose your benefits. Ok but my passion isn’t there and I hate it I want to do something that I have a true passion for. You’ve done it, I’m going too myself. Congrats on your success

from what I have researched, marring from clay is user error and great amounts of care must be done when claying a car, but otherwise the marring is avoided when the clay is done correctly. A casual DIY non-comercial detailer may want to avoid clay bars.

It has SiO2 in it, the same base component of all ceramic coatings. All towels used with ceramic coatings need thrown away, otherwise they will have hardened coating that could scratch your car's paintwork if used again.

I was hoping to get an answer on what to do if my ceramic coating has swirls and such. How would I remove the swirls to then re-apply? Would I just do another paint correction process treating the current ceramic coating like a clear-coat?
@Esotericdetail

Yes, simply polish what you currently have, then prep the surface for new coating application. You're on the right course!

For the people that don’t t own a garage: is it possible to apply overcoat 5.2 on top of this ceramic overcoat after a few hours , so curing time will be less long?
@Esotericdetail
@Esotericdetail Ай бұрын
No matter how you cut it, any ceramic coating still needs to remain dry for 24 hours, and not washed for 1 week. You can apply Over Coat 5.2 on top, but it doesn't change those curing restrictions.

Does heated water change the performance of the 20 gallon filter kit with stand??
@Esotericdetail
@Esotericdetail Ай бұрын
You should not run heated water through a DI filtration system. It will degrade the filter material and make it useless.
