Good review. It takes awhile to know if a knife holds a good edge. Even skinning a female animal can be deceptive, say a male pig of deer can be mich tougher and dull a supposedly great blade

Yall need to quit with this “tactical” nonsense. Not a dang one of you are getting into ANY kind of KNIFE FIGHT.
@littlelight62112 ай бұрын
I like to think 'Tactical' is more in line with the knife being more for utility than for a fight, my Handgun is what i will use for self defense not a Knife. However the word 'Tactical' is so overused these days in just about any sort of industry where men are the primary target audience for these goods. I mean shit a 'Tactical Suppressor removal tool' is literally just a glorified oven mit that Silencer Co decided needed to sound cooler for absolutely no reason.

To this day, toor has SERIOUS quality control issues. Its been years and they still have major QC problems. At the price point of their blades, it is absolutely 100% unacceptable. And they still leave out sheath clips, etc, and make you purchase separately. Very poor business model. Toor Knives is a hard pass
@trevorredbull35234 ай бұрын
Never seen a bad review on their knives, anything production will have random issues, customer service counts for more, if you aren’t going full blown custom, expecting perfection is dumb, I’ve owned thousands of knives, custom and production, that said, Toor is good to go

Sorry, the Apache falcon that I own 3 of is actually a scaled up version of TOPs Pathfinder School knife, that is a 4 inch blade and was designed as a GP knife. This knife is the exact knife but slightly smaller. Many years later the design was updated with a 6.5 inch blade and endorsed by Snake Blocker. Funny how a GP bushcraft hunting knife characteristic translates to a fighting knife. I do like and enjoy the Apache Falcon, as it fits my XXL size hands and its ergonomics,

It’s a GP knife that has the ability to be used to drain cool aid…very organic grip, blade is a Bowie style , the guard actually cradles your hand and fingers allowing for a strong purchase… FYI trenders it’s not a axe, it’s a knife… 6 inch is barely long enough to reach pump and air sacks. Ideally a 8 inch double edge blade similar to a EK commando is ideal for deep tissue. I love the Apache Falcon, good GP blade… for big hands as well..

I have the root jank shank pikal version… I hate that they put the padding in the sheath. It’ll eventually get hooked by the blade and then obstruct the knife going in. Once in the adhesive gets on the blade. I wish they would leave it out

The biggest issue I've found with HFB is the limited to no stock. They do a weekend "drop" with new items but they literally sell out in minutes. Guys have had blades in their cart about to pay and then they get a sold out message. Buying a blade should not bring this level of anxiety. I hear the build list is 5+ years long. Ive purchased all my 3 lol hfb second hand from a fb group. Like, forget about trying to read any descriptions of blades on drop day. That blade will be gone after the 1st sentence. They are nice blades though

The contoured scales (bit worse with the G10) create hot spots if you’re doing heavy use with the knife (I baton wood x3 a week with an ESEE 4). In conclusion, in my experience the natural flat micarta scales (Dark Earth, Sand, S35VN) are superior to the rest.
