Hey Frank top notch explanation as usual. Learned a lot. I did actually this on 2 MK5's because both had double 0 and worked perfectly on 1 deck but the other deck the 2nd zero was up at +6 and I reset it 3 times and nothing changed. I suspect main board magic needed but I have no idea what could be wrong in this case. Cheers for any advice. I am doing modding and some service in Cambodia since I live here 17years.

A note for people wondering about the 3.3 position. Ive just done this on 2 of my decks. On one (an older deck with the metal style pot under the platter) everything lined up great at +6 and at 3.3 on -/+ both sides. I couldn't be happier because I had issues around the center notch too. No more. However, on my other deck, a later variant with the blue pot, the 3.3 strobe is around the 2 mark and it's not half as nice to mix on with 3.3 crammed into 0-2. It's over sensitive in that area. I swapped the two faders around and the issue moves with the fader. the good fader is perfect on the other deck. Im going replace the fader and will report back, but theres not other way to fix this as far as I have found. I think technics just released some shitty faders over a certain period (early-mid 90s) as the later era issues of the mk2 fader 97 on had a smaller notch in them. Ive just ordered one and will report back.
