Sadly, its exactly how a GREAT start works, where this pilot season works as a "hey, we GOT the right actors for this, we just need a bit more cash" pitch. Which makes me stoked for season 2 because they SPENT what they needed on costumes and sets, now next season gets to spend the funding on just effects and important details.

Really, this was a great adaptation, its MEANT to advert for the animated series, much like how the anime was for the Manga. Where I say its great because its cartoony looks WHILE keep dark tones like a crew of skitzoid cat themed serial killers who've had all the reason to be paranoid because his crew repeatedly kept betraying him. Where EVERY actor is on point.

This Review sounds like someone who's just chasing the mainstream and haven't bothered with the series, its like a football player trying to act because for the wrong reasons, where really FANS are enjoying the show itself.

THIS was THE BEST adaptation to intro us into this. Where I like to think this as a BIG Trailer for the rest of the actual series. Where video game adaptations were well when altering logically, but most.... aren't changing what's logical.

Most of my theories involve Ethan playing 4d chess with the audience. There was a plan and we weren't let in on it. You remember when Luthor said "None of our lives can matter more than this mission" and Ethan replied "I don't accept that.", then we suddenly get a little time jump to a scene on the roof with a smiling Ilsa walking out to Ethan deep in thought? That transition seemed odd to me, as if we missed something, a new plan perhaps. And maybe the entity's true intentions are nearly the opposite of what we have been led to believe they are. I even keep thinking along the lines that the entity has been subtly messaging Ethan all through Dead Reckoning. Earlier in the movie, it said "You are Dunn" to Benji, then later in the movie it says the same line to Ethan over the radio. But why would it do that? I'm thinking that was a message, just the latest in a series of clues it's been dropping to Ethan. You might say it's just being straightforward with the line the second time, meaning Ethan is done, but it's too much of a coincidence for me to accept. I think perhaps the Entity is trying to do something to correct a world it realizes is on a one-way trip to destruction if it doesn't act, and it knows Ethan will help it in the end, but to get there, it has to acquire aid of this truly evil man, Gabriel, whose fate perhaps it was leaving it up to Ethan to decide so the entity could calculate around that. The further along I get in my theories, the more fuzzy it all gets. I don't know if the movie gave us the clues we need to figure it out for sure. I mean, why would it? It's bad for the next movie if some smart person figures it all out before it releases.

Act 1 was intriguing and bizarre. The other acts were a lackluster. They got the order if acts wrong in my opinion. Nonetheless, it’s a unique movie!

The prince kind of surprises you. You look at her and she looks like your stereotypical little girl but you see right away that she’s as ruthless as the rest. I feel bad for ladybug. Everyone he encounters on the train wants to kill him and his reaction is like, he’s caught unawares like .” wtf did I do?!”

Nobody said it was perfect. It's just one of the best if not the best anime adaptation by far.

Yeah he forgot who he was but when he remembered, it shouldn't have doubled as an inconsistency with his powers. As usual its just another of hollyweirds takes on girl boss tropes that make no sense and have no entertainment value. When it comes to female led movies, I'll just watch the original Alien movies or Xena and Buffy. At least those had realistic female leads and didnt act like the girl could do no wrong.

Not sure if anyones mentioned it… but I believe the reason that Alice keeps humming that song is because Jack is singing it to her in the real world when he goes back… because the movie shows that in one scene after Alice goes back in the virtual world from discovering that she’s not in the real world… and her humming it is her knowing in the back of her mind that something is off and that she recognizes the song from somewhere other than where she is in the virtual world… even before she KNEW it was all fake Also I see a lot of people questioning wether or not Jack is abusive… and it’s very appearing he is… aside from the obvious of him knocking her out and forcing her to be in this world… the first time she comes back from work and walks in the apartment, Jack IMMEDIATELY scolds her for being later than “he thought” she would be… he also is seen going after her when she is walking off to bed, right before he stops himself and blankly stares… I loved this review! And the comment section didn’t disappoint! There are many things I didn’t even notice before watching this video!

I think in the beginning he committed suicide. He was looking at himself up on top of the building. The guy starts laughing as he’s recording it bc no one respects Beau. You also see the dead guy on the street which I think is actually him. The whole movie he is in purgatory. At the end he is on trial and goes to Hell or Heaven.
