I found this band in youtube like 4 years ago, been listening to them often since then, you should check out Perfect Kindness from Night Tapes, it is not much of shoegaze but it is amazing, found them like 3 years ago as well
There are 5 Seefeel studio albums, latest released in August this year...... Quique is pronounced 'keek'. Please read some interviews with the bands mentioned before making your videos & please try to put some intonation in your voice & slow down! Its not a race....

Great video, i would have add the unique album Dynamo by the argentinian band Soda Stereo a really ambitious project that blends shoegaze with latin rock and also a particular use of sampling tecniques. A very powerful spanish shoegaze thing,

I almost didn’t write this cause I don’t want too many people blowing it up, but Sunkissed by Gui.tar is an obscenely underrated album, and frankly it’s the definitive benchmark of this whole micro genre.

really good video! another track i want to point to a potential reader of this comment is global communication's remix of slowdive's 'In Mind' ttiled 'In Mind - Reload Remix (The 147 Take)' which you can find on souvlaki's deluxe edition. It is genuenly one of my absolute favourite electronic tracks, combining slowdive's dreamy instrumentations and vocals with ambient techno beats and synths. Bliss captured in sonic form.

This deepdive was great! Thx. Fun to see Bowery Electric from Darla Records included....I have a suggestion: Darla Records' Bliss Pop Series was by far one of the dreamiest electro/ambient/bliss pop collection of music I ever heard. I recommend doing an entire 30-minute video just on this!?

Great video! Many bands I love, several I need to check out. Curve deserved more attention here - from the start they backed their shoegaze guitars with heavy dance beats. Also, small correction: the reverbs used by even the first shoegaze a bands were digital, though in those days they were bigger rack-mounted units not pedals. (Catalinbread's recent Soft Focus pedal is modeled on the Yamaha reverb used by Slowdive.)
@ThreadBomb5 күн бұрын
This is true. Even the Cure used Boss digital delay pedals live, from very early on. (And of course what we think of as the "classic" MBV sound uses a digital reverse reverb.)

Great video, thanks ! Rollerskate Skinny's wonderful second album Horsedrawn Wishes was released in 1996. Granted, not really a crossover with electronica, but a late and worthy addition to the shoegaze canon.
