I'm interested in acquiring some. Would you / could you sell me some and ship to the US? Or, if you have any interest in trading for seeds of plants native to the Appalachian mountains of the US (I'm in USDA zone 6) I'd love to discuss that. If you can't sell any, can you all links to any individuals or nurseries that would sell/ship to the US?

Great video! Thank you! I have a Question, to anyone who knows...I've been thinking of planting this out into my garden and just let it naturalize in. What is it's growth like outside of a controlled potted environment? Does it become invasive?

definitely an abortifacient. it contains pulegone. that is why vermin hate it. be very careful. dried herbs and distilled scent will repel pests. Ingestion? don't think I'd do it.

Hi Paulo, could a lemon tree survive outside if covered in a fabric material over winter? My mother in law got a lemon tree, after bugging us for one for 2 weeks. After 1 day, she wanted to get a refund because it was too tall for in doors lol... I said I'll take it but I don't have space for indoors. I didn't want to do a refund

The smell of the cypriot oregano is just unreal, it's such a nostalgic smell for me! My family are from Argaka so I always get loads and bring it back with me when I visiting them. I will have to see if I can find any seeds!
@paulotheurbanfarmer59825 ай бұрын
Rebecca, that's amazing! I think its the best part of Cyprus! You should be able to see very small black seeds at the bottom of the bag...good luck and stay in touch! are you based in the UK?

@@paulotheurbanfarmer5982 I was looking online to see if I could buy any as I seem to have gone through my jar quicker than usual haha, and I came across your video! I'm based in Hertfordshire. None of the little continental shops around here or north London/Green Lanes in particular (if you know the area) seem to sell it, which is surprising considering how many Cypriots are there.
@paulotheurbanfarmer59825 ай бұрын
@@rebecca_elli I know! You are not that far from me I'm In Amersham Buckinghamshire. What I did was I visited st Raphael monastery near Pomas...there is an old guy there that sells big jars of it opposite the church...the base was full of seeds but try online...I think you can buy Cyprus oregano online....ok...good luck with it!

I grew radicchio in north Florida, planted in October like lettuce. They never bolted. They grew slowly until I had to remove them in late May to plant sweet potatoes. Other than being bitter as walnut shells, it was great. It was trouble free. If it got too cold or hot or dry it just slowed it's growth. I don't think a single leaf had a bug hole. That year Christmas eve night and Christmas night the temperature dropped to 20F (-6C). It had no frost damage. It was hitting 95F (30C) before I pulled it up. It never wilted.

Thank you. Not sure of my chances.. I'm up north, my lemon trees are about 4/5 years old and have lost their leaves INDOORS during winter 🥶 but come back! Problem I have is the natural soil in my area is clay.. so it's "boggy". 😫

I actually grew mine from seeds, but I started the seeds in a little hydroponics unit 2 or 3 years ago. I grow it in a grow bag. Last year I divided it x4 and gave 3 away. I overwinter in a Warmer storage with LED grow light. This year, after watching your video, I'll divide again and keep one in little greenhouse and see what happens

I am new subscriber... I just tried Valerian root in pill form before bed the last two nights. Its the second night and I feel asleep but woke up with a headache and upset stomach. I'm not giving up. I'm going reduce the dose for now and focus on growing my own plants. I think your tea idea with the lemon balm and mint might actually help reduce my upset stomach and maybe the headaches. I also noticed I had to urinate 3 times! I haven't heard of that as a side effect. Maybe because I did drink more water with it. hummm... I better get in my garden and start growing some herbs. hee hee Im going to check out the rest of your video and see what else you have to give advice about. Thank you, Kellie

Rooting cuttings is a good head start. Here in Canada I have Yuzu, Navel, Tangelo, Mandello, Meyer lemon, Calamondin orange, figs, goji berries etc. I just brought them in 8'x10' of my livingroom. Grafted a few together as well it is a great hobby. Plant may skip if roots in big pot take priority.

thank you for making this video! I am always on the hunt for anything that will grow in extreme temperatures, and drought- even though I do not let drought happen- because I live in the Mojave Desert (I call it the Devil's arse). We are at 2500 above sea level, and temperatures are terribly high, with swings in degree like those of Mars. It can range by 60 degrees from day to night. The wind is a common problem here, as well. I find it so difficult to grow anything. I bought some Gobbo di Nizzia cardoon seeds, how do you think they will fair? I will start them inside, or possibly outside but in the early fall. Please, I am so desperate for a garden!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. I watched a video of yours years ago. You were propagating basil in your polytunnel. You promoted filling spaces with those cuttings. Could the same method apply in the food forest? Maybe cuttings of any/all plants used to fill gaps; if not required you could simply chop and drop them. Do you use cardboard to suppress weeds?
