I would adjust the speed, but I don’t recommend the intense incline for that long! I prefer the Paul Revelia treadmill workout. He starts slower and increases speed and incline through the 30 minutes. He’s 6’2”, I’m 5’1”. I scale the speed for my short legs. His structure is safer and more sustainable. I think his video August/September 2024 has the best detail in this.

Ooh, I would definitely get bored with this, lol😅 I've been loving implementing a mile on the treadmill into my workouts lately! I appreciate your honesty about this workout. I’m always a little skeptical about workouts that a 20 something year-old is doing versus when you’re not a 20 something year-old. Again thank you for your honesty about this workout and I may just try it but like you said, maybe not as quite intensive as the person who originally made up theworkout.

I am 63 and had seen this workout awhile back…I thought it sounded doable but after a couple of days I gave up on it as I had to hold on part of the time and I started dreading doing it. I like your suggestions such as the lower incline.

25 years ago I bought a treadmill, but wanted the benefits of a stair stepper (@ the time only at gyms), so I just cranked up the incline to the max…kicked my but while I watched my VCR recordings of Oprah in my garage….didn’t know I was innovative 😂

When you were saying its only at a 3 in terms of speed, I kept saying to the computer "yes but it's a 12 incline!!" haha I knew this one was going to be hard and I am always impressed at how fit you are to do that everyday for a week! Merry Christmas!!

If you have to hold on then you are not currently fit enough to complete the exercise. I do high incline when I don't want to run but I want my heartrate nice and high.

Will you do the 12% for a whole 1/2 hour Maggie? Kudos to you girl!!👏🏼 Definitely a high heart rate! 🥵 At Orangetheory the power walkers go 12-15% incline but just for the “all outs”, maybe a minute or so. The coaches are always telling them “no holding on”🤣

Start on the flat and never continue if in pain! Go outside and enjoy nature. I personally find treadmills boring

Hi Christy, I like what you’re thinking! Try to make some modifications, either in speed, incline or duration in order to make this workout “work” for you! I really like the idea of throwing in short bursts of the 12% incline - this is what the power walkers do at Orangetheory! It gets them really huffing and puffing!
