Question, if I wanted to run a rig with this live on stage can I send this to a front of house and also to say a full range cab for monitoring? Do I need to have a full range cab ?
@TomButwin
@TomButwin 5 сағат бұрын
Good question. For sure. Both of those are great uses, either separately or in conjunction with one another. Depending on the FR cab you have, there are a few ways you could do it. If the cab has a “thru” or an XLR out, you could go UAFX>FR Cab>Thru XLR to FOH. If the cab doesn’t have a thru, I’d suggest a DI/Line Isolator (check out Walrus Audio’s kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2Scf4Gvjb-GqcUsi=hNIEgbFUd06meipo). The DI would take a signal from the UAFX and essential split it to the FR cab and FOH. One thing I personally do not like is monitoring an electric through a traditional floor/wedge monitor. If it’s dedicated to your guitar, great, but if it’s a monitor receiving a mix with other instruments, vocals, and your guitar, I prefer in ears or a dedicated FR cab. Hope that helps!

I did not. Hm, weird. I listened back and totally hear what you’re hearing (on my iPhone speaker). I can tell you that there’s plenty of articulate bass I get out of the pickup. Just played live with it last night and reconfirmed that. Might have just been a poor EQ-ing job on my part in this Short.

Just got the anthem and haven’t installed it yet because I have been back and forth with the full anthem system or k&k mini pure but this duet came out and I’m like dang it all over again. lol any advice is welcomed if you have experience with any of these

Seem to be forgetting it's not just the sound a huge part is how it plays. I had a shmuck at guitar center grab a super duper $3000 Les Paul studio off the wall, it didn't play anywhere near as good as my old and worn and I don't even know what year Gibson Les Paul studio, played like a $120 cheap knock off.

Prolly how it _feels_ when playing. Idk. I picked up this one Strat while visiting a friend in a dorm room and it was magic. Felt like nothing before. So ready. So giving. I was thinking maybe I was the type of wood in the neck and finish. Maybe it was the action. Idk. Wish i knew. Im just gonna go up to guitar center and sam ash. and try cheap vs expensive Literally two giant music stores next door to each other.

I have read and heard quite a number of times that PRS SE series guitars are "toys", compared to their higher level ones. And a professional musician I hold in high esteem told me that they lack the “consistency” of their U.S.-made sisters. Before I bought an SE 594 Double Cut I went around various stores, going to try Core and S2 also in A/B comparisons. But, it may be that I am a raw amateur, but I could not hear such differences that I would choose to spend more on something that to me is more esoteric than real.

I bought a brand new RSP02T in Oct.2023. I just had an idea about what these 2 knobs + the 5 way switch do. I haven’t played it a lot in the past 1-year ownership. Every time I play, I go for what’s the most enjoyable tone to my ears. Today I just, for no reason, wanted to find out what these things do and I gotta give thanks to the video for helping me understand. Great job explaining the functionality of RSP02T!! 👍 Thanks!!! 😊

Duck your room mic when you play the guitar. I can't tell how the pedal sounds.
@TomButwin
@TomButwin 3 күн бұрын
1. Everything you’re hearing is direct. The SM7 is off every time I play and I’m monitoring through in ears (look closely and you’ll see them). So, no live audio in the room as I was filming. 2. Go to 09:11 of the video. That’s the room reverb you’re hearing…from the pedal itself.

@@TomButwin Touche' - but I still can't hear how the amp portion of the pedal sounds, because I'm hearing the reverb. If I want to use the pedal for recording, for example, I'm never gonna use their room models. I'll use Altiverb or a 480L or something. Thanks for clearing it up tho.

Could I plug a Universal Audio UAFX amp pedal in to this?
@TomButwin
@TomButwin 4 күн бұрын
Definitely. I think the outputs of the UAFX are unbalanced and the input on the Fender is balanced, but from what I understand, that shouldn’t be a factor at all, especially if the cable runs are short.

It’s definitely not the woman tone, that’s for sure. Big difference between the original Clapton 335/SG/Strat tones and what came with this system. Funny enough, despite it being technically inaccurate, Clapton called the mid boost a “compressor.”

It's because squire is a fender Company. The Pickups and all the electronics/ strings are the same on the Fender original Strat. Only the body abd the neck and the body are made with machines and a bit cheaper Wood. So they can make even more.
