we took off the plenum when we did valve cover gaskets, but somehow my mechanic was able to replace that water hose without taking much off but a bracket/belt. unfortunately we have to go back in there and do water pump, timing belt, thermostat etc..

A lot of these CVTs have a cartridge filter on the side and on some models the housing is held with one bolt or on mine it is held with 4. Be careful to get one with the correct gasket. One is a regular O ring and the other is some sort of metal seal ring. These are very different from one another and will not work interchangeably. Just make sure that if it is the metal one that it stay in place when the housing is put back on or it could cause a gap betweeen the transmission and that housing and your fluid will gush all over next time you start it up making a horrible mess. I imagine the regular O ring would be easier to know if it is seated properly. The bolts are 10 mm heads and I like that it seems to be such a common size on these vehicles for a lot of things. It is a little bit tricky to get to that filter but on mine it was toward the passenger side. I don't know if other models or revisions of the CVT have it on the other side. Just changing that little filter makes a difference. It is for the fluid cooler or warmer (depends on what you like to call it).

You'll be surprised at how many times you'll need an 18mm end wrench and/or an 18mm socket. Those are not commonly supplied in the sets, I had to purchase mine separately! I thought I wouldn't use them very often,,, WRONG!! I also have a 2015 Dodge so I had to go and buy an extra 18mm wrench, a 3/8 dr socket, and a 1/2 dr socket! Those adjustable wrenches tend to slip and round your fittings, I don't even have one in my toolbox!! Always use the right tool for the job!!

I have a HYPER TOUGH rechargable flashlight without a removeable battery that shows red and flashes green like once a second when charging. The battery has wires attached at both ends that connect to a small circuit board that has the charging port. It registers less than 0.01 volts on my meter. 1) Is it safe to try what you do with the wires attached to the battery? 2) If so, how many seconds should I keep the wires from the 3 C batteries attached to battery in the flashlight to get it's voltage up before I plug the power cord into the charging port? Many, many thanks!!!
@ijfim
@ijfim 18 күн бұрын
Unsure of your specific application. You have a high probability of kill in the battery for good if you hook it up wrong. I would only put it on the terminal for about 10 seconds. See if you can find polarity, sometimes the charging port will show it.
@keepitsimple8
@keepitsimple8 16 күн бұрын
@@ijfim Thank you for your response! I know the polarity. There's a red wire on the top of the battery and a black on the bottom. When I connect my multimeter with the red lead to the battery red wire and the black lead to the battery black wire, I get that 0.002 reading. When I reverse the leads of the meter to the battery, it reads -0.002. It is a 3.7 lithium battery and the charging block that came with it sends 4.79 to the battery to charge it. Is it safe to use 3 C batteries or would it be safer to try connecting 2 C batteries for 5 seconds at a time and then seeing if it has taken enough of a charge for the charger to start charging it? And if not, keep repeating the 5 second charging to the 2 C batteries until it's able to start charging? I just don't need a lithium battery blowing up in my face. That's what I'm afraid of. The flashlight is worthless the way it is so trying your approach might save it. It's a great flashlight and if doing what your video shows saves me from throwing it away, it's a great victory for everyone! Thank you for your help! :-)

Overall a pretty good video. But youve got a couple things confused here. The caster and camber are both adjusted by both the upper control arm bolts. Adjusting both bolts in by the same ammount will lower the camber angle and keep the caster the same. Adjusting only the front bolt in will lower the caster angle, and adjusting only the rear bolt in will increase the caster. The second thing is you have toe-in vs toe-out flipped. Toe-in is when the front of the tires are closer together and toe-out is when the front of the tires are further apart. On a DIY alignment, you want to shoot for about 1/8" Toe-in.

No, I was having hesitation issues. There are a few things that can cause your problem. Search “ranger crank no start” to narrow your results. First thing I would check is to see if the pump is humming when the key is turned on. Have somebody do it while you listen under the truck. Might have wiring issues at the pump? Please check all fuses and swap fuel pump relay if you can.

Thank you very much. I've been looking for a video for almost 10 months that would show me how to remove and replace this part. Here in Brazil, no one does this service and shows how to do it. The workshops that perform the service charge a lot and the specialized ones are in the city of São Paulo and I live far away in the capital of Brazil in the Federal District. I didn't find anything on KZbin. I also have a channel where I show you how to do things yourself in your car. When I go to change I will film it and give you credit for teaching me. I think your reservoir is missing a Teflon ring on the pressure hose fitting. I still haven't found this ring for sale and mine is crushed. My car is a 1995 Mustang 5.0 V8. Once again, thank you very much for filming all the steps of the work.
