Great video thank you. I seperated the prop shaft on the car once I marked up. Piece of string to support the shafts. Diff flex welded on with the heat I think but wd 40 shorted that and bug f.off screw driver.

Id like to see more functional talk of repair function. less nuts/bolts which we all do in any job. Ive had fuel gage failure and several issues and probably the rear sam, Id be testing function before ever replacing all the panels.

you make the best videos .. i thought you had to loosen the shock mount, caliper to be able to remove the ball joint side but you didn't so this is so much easier ..mhh

No way I could get the Inner race out. Ended up cutting a “groove” and cracking with a chisel. Still had to hammer it out. Next time I’ll just buy the whole assembly and save myself some headache.

I replaced the actuator. When I want to bring the window down to install the door panel, in about 3” down seems the it hits something and do not go any further down. What is causing that?

A masterful demonstration of how to replace a door lock actuator. You are a great teacher. At times I was getting dizzy with the camera movements and then realized the camera man was a young helper who did the best he could under the circumstances. More power to both of you and best wishes. Glen

There's another video where someone cleaned corrosion off the front PCB SAM module (under the hood) using stiff brushes and Isopropyl Alcohol and it fixed the problem. As long as corrosion doesn't short out components or damage any electrical traces it could be salvaged.

Thank you for making this video, it was very helpful. I did the same thing you did and replaced my flex discs first and then realized I should have changed the center bearing and support bracket. Now I'm ordering it from FCP Euro and I got to take all that crap out again but at least it will be done right. You are curious, I own a 2007 CL 550 with 230,000 miles on it

I've 2 questions: - do you confirm that there is no reset button of the following oil change alert for these models ? - accordind to your experience, which are the other operations to do at he same time of oil changing ? Thanks a lor for yout work. Sincerely

Very good video. Just changed all six on my 2006 E320 CDI. No issues. The torque wrench method to remove is a Great tip. Spray penetrating fluid in all the holes and let it sit a few days or so. Drive the car as normal with many heat and cold cycles and it will make removal a lot easier. Take your time and things will work fine.

Fantastic tutorial, uncomplicated and straightforward. May I ask( even though this an older vid,) would you think the torx E18 bolt would be the same on a 2006 CLS 350 W219. I have the exact same job to do, and I’m uncertain if it would be the same size. I don’t wanna start the job and find I do not have the correct socket. I know I’m late to the party, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Keep up the top notch work. Liked and subscribed👍

Really enjoy and appreciate your videos and the work you have done on them. I own a 2006 E320 CDI and now has just over 300,000 miles on it. I get great gas mileage. Last year was on the Natchez Trace Parkway is a 444-mile recreational road and scenic drive through three states. I set the cruse control at 57 MPH. The posted speed limit is actually 55 MPH. I got just over 57 miles per gallon with my car. It's is, as well all know, a diesel engine. While I did not start off with a full tank of fuel, I could have driven the whole thing without stopping to refuel. Again, thanks for your channel. It has explained a whole lot of things about my car.

Nice Video... BUT - all the Torque settings you gave a nm, were actually FT LBS. So, just in case anyone does this, if you torque those bolts to 85nm, when they should be 113nm, beware. In fact, anytime folks give you torque settings, you should always double check with the Mercedes manual (or google it). Other than that, nice video.

Except for the fact that he used 229.51 oil which is for cars fitted with DPF - diesel particulate filter (hence ESP formula emissions system protection). This engine OM648 does not have a DPF and calls for the 229.50 spec, not the low SAPS, low ash formula.
