This might be dumb but if I could make one change to SE id just make Gravik’s name Kl’rt. Like why not make the super-skrull villain of your skrull show the actual super skrull. Maybe it’s just a less cool name to say I get that but like. If I was in charge of marvel that’d just be Kl’rt. Being like the “MCU version” of an actual historied marvel character probably make the character more memorable in some vague sense and also I’m a massive insufferable nerd and I like when my comic book shows have things come the comics in them.

I like a lot of this, but one of the main things I actually liked about the movie was the bit of lord’s motivation about his son and realizing his wish stuff negatively impacted his son. I would’ve liked if that was kept in or even expanded upon.

i think my favourite version of the zatanna/zatara relationship is from young justice, where after kent nelson dies, zatara allows himself to be taken over by nabu to become the new doctor fate. her father is effectively dead, while still having the possibility for him to come back, or on rare occasions for himself to show through dr. fate's control. i doubt they'd do something like that, but the angle of "someone who isn't dead, but is beyond possibility of rescue" is a different vibe than just the typical dead parent/uncle ben scenario.

These costumes are among the best there have ever been in any comic movie… 24:57 it was idiotic to just trash them. WHY?! Those costumes were right up there with Deadpool, Yelllow Wolverine, Thors first costume as well as Loki, Iron Man, and maybe Ant Man. The bright red CW Flash suit is really great too, Batfleck and Justice League Superman was great. Wonder Woman, and… I think that’s it. Those are all of the best comic accurate costumes and when you go by sheer numbers XMen has most of them and they just threw those in the garbage after 5 seconds.

This film has the worst form of ADR. I've noticed it in a few other films and even games. It's when lines sound like they're delivered from a different actor, and the tempo/pitch of the words are at a different pace within a single sentence.A few words are sped up, and the the next few are delivered at a normal intonation. It's jarring, and sounds almost like a robot malfunctioning.

I feel like Reign of the Superman, although animated did the High damage thing, but It manged to show Superman try to be heroic and dealing with the damage as well. He canot stop all of the damage but he tries also atempts to help people.

The most common criticism of comic book film adaptations for a long time was the difficulty in transitioning dialogue from the page to the screen. I wish Hollywood gave comic book writers more projects - especially the ones, you know, based on comic books. The final narrative structure seems pretty obviously pieced together by an AI.

It's such a cool story, directly highlighting the moral shades of grey at the edges of heroism. Magneto is right about so many things, Xavier is such a flawed character. Absolutely no oppressed group has acquired their rights by being hidden and nice. There is no historical version of Xavier. It's time to take radicalism a little more seriously.

ehhhh a lot of these imo feel underwhelming. the only thing here that looks really promising (to me) is fantastic 4, i think that'll be a huge hit. and part of that is how disconnected it feels, a lot of new marvel movies feel like they're just less important than the ones that came before them, and relying on the audiences familiarity with the older movies, they don't feel overly unique. i expect a lot of them to do pretty poorly, with f4 doing much better than expected

What you missed was she fingers the tops of the sodas on the verge of opening, then rubbing the tops and repeating those steps the whole time she speaks, to just put the soda down in both scenes unopened. I don't why, but I was just furious at this horrible, acting, directing, all of it. I dismissed the whole movie after she didn't open that Pepsi.

Nice pitch, but Mehcad Brooks would be a much better choice for Steel. He played Jax in the latest Mortal Kombat movie and James Olsen on Supergirl.
