Lisbon is a poor city, the roads/ congestion are not organised at all, the walking is just as dangerous with uneven surfaces, there’s lot of graffiti, refugees/ immigrants and the place is generally dirty. I wouldnt visit again or live here

Dave's videos are great. I'm so glad that he is learning Portuguese and integrating very well. His accent is spot on. I have no desire to live in Portugal again, but I still enjoy his videos.

I love that you continue to enjoy my country with excitement and pleasure, and making videos about It to spread the word in the world. It’s a beautiful country with a great culture, amazing food, and very nice people! I say… Enjoy it all… while I miss it from across the ocean in your country.

Only because of the prices and the coffee, indeed, But that's all they have. Compare with French, Italian and Greek gastronomy and venues, really?

The only problem in Portugal is that many portugueses has not been treating the brazilians very well. Many cases of xenophobia has been ocurring there.
@zemariaperez5697Күн бұрын
For each Brazilian that is not being treated well, there’s so many others who are being treated with all the respect they deserve

Se algum brasileiro não foi bem tratado, pensei bem, algo ele fez para isso acontecer
@victormpmac6 сағат бұрын
Algo se passou para esse brasileiro ser maltratado, talvez seja em resposta á xenofia que o português recebe no Brasil.

I have to disagree. Having lived in Portugal for 6 years, travelled the length and breadth of Portugal and being a devoted foodie I find traditional Portuguese food bland and under seasoned. For a country that dominated the spice trade once the limited use of spices is very surprising. Grilled seafood is good but you can find that anywhere. Piri piri chicken is good but it is just BBQ chicken with a hot sauce rubbed over it. The average Bifana is a pretty awful slab of pork on a stale bread roll. As for Francesina I suggest eating one and then never having another. I can understand why you needed the Colon Broom. The best meal I have had was in Lisbon at a Nepalese Restaurant. They know how to use spices. If you want great food cross the border into Spain.

Didn't Portugal recently do away with expat incentives? One of the best success stories in Europe was Sweden. No lockdowns. Although not in Europe, Africa had one of the lowest rates of cases.

Yes! We've been to Paris and Toulouse, and would 100% rather visit a city that isn't so touristy (and not just Americans, BTW). Toulouse was amazing, and I'm sure the others you point out in this video are fantastic as well. Totally gonna visit them all, haha! One life is not long enough to explore the world! Great point about cancel culture, too! It's just bullying IMO.

Where to start with this video: 1. I LOVE the shirt you're wearing on the boat, 2. Yes to the COFFEE!, 3. Lake Tahoe for the win, haha! (formerly from N CA). One thing you have to try in Porto is the Porto croissant made with brioche and brushed with a lightly sweet syrup. Man, I dream about that all the time and can't wait to get back to Porto to enjoy one again. It was my favorite treat from Portugal - even more than the pastel de nata if you can believe that! So good! Thanks for the video!

Left Porto many years ago... I still visit it from time to time but it's not the same.. the old times will never come back... I can only wish that the future stays bright... Porto is more than a place... it's a sentiment... There aren't many with such a raw soul. Invicta

Tourists are super welcome in our city but long term foreigners should reconsider the negative effects that it brings to our beloved Porto; gentrification is a massive issue that affects most locals. Thanks for your attention.

We went on a small tour around some cities in europe, and felt the warmth of Porto. Even when comparing a city in the same country (lisbon), I feel that Porto still welcomes tourists. Lisbon felt like any other city in europe: they are just sick of tourists.
