There are more American brands in Philippines compared to UK Philippines and United Kingdom are not that closed compared to United States and the Philippines relationship. I think Singapore is much closer to United Kingdom. Singapore English is much closer to British.

We definitely noticed that when we were there, we found there to be a huge American influence in the Philippines! Shops/restaurants is one example like you said, lots of American brands. Thank you so much for watching and your comment! 🤍🙌🏼
