The Syfy Dune series and Children of Dune are the best versions, I was really hoping to have this scene in the new movies... The best line ever "goodbye GRANDFATHER, you have finally met the Atreides Gom Jabbar!"

No idea why so many people make fun of thid, this is PERFECT yes the denis movies are the best I agree thats as good as dune gets and I love em however this version seems more realistic baron is an opulent man attending parties and all not clad in all black he has a a genuine aristocrat charm here unlike the movie versions where either in lynch he is a raging madman or in villenueve where he is a cold spectre both work but book baron is closer to mcneice's version

This version of Feyd-Rautha comes off as an evil frat-boy, the spoiled son of a billionaire. Villeneuve's Feyd is more like a deadly creature, something that will swiftly strike you dead if you're not careful. Phil the Cat

This Baron is the best version and closest to the book one in terms of appearance. The Harkonnens in 2021/2024 have been ruined by them all being bald... wtf. The Baron is described as having red hair, just as you see him here. Feyd was described as being attractive and looking a lot like Paul.

The colour red does suit them better but in the novels they are actually blue and Atreides is green and black (or is it white?) with the red hawk. I have trouble seeing them those colours though too because I played the videogame Dune 2 where Atreides was blue and Harkonnon red and the non-canon Ordos were green.

By far the BIGGEST mistake made by the new 2024 Dune was to have Paul kill the Baron. Totally ruins the fun drama of a little child killing the big bad Baron.

The Grandfather wants what his grandson will get all because the grandfather had his own plans within plans. The grandmother and grandfather had plans within plans. Perhaps the Baron had visions which sent him mad as well as his very clever brain.

While I enjoyed Denis Villeneuve’s Dune 2 movie, reducing Alia’s agency particularly her role in the death of Baron Harkonnen was a serious mistake. This scene captures the original novel very well.

The Baron is threatening the Emperor... looks like a gun isnt it? Who is the villian? Or is there? Where is the Villian hiding.... are they a Doctor? A nurse? A simple store owner... but the last one is very confusing it.... :P the plot thickens...

This isn't just a high school production. It's a BAD high school production. The acting is unbelievably bad. The editing is comical. (Were they simply throwing darts at scraps of film on the floor?) The directing unhinged. The costume design is the worst film history. I am simply MESMERIZED by this film. It fills me with existential dread. When I look into that place that I dare not look, it is this film that stares back at me. I was once called to the scene of an accident. There was a shoe on the road that had a foot in it. This film is loaded into my memory immediately adjacent to that liberated foot.
