I’m turning 29 in less than a month as a 9-5 office admin/sales person . I have soo many interests & hobbies & goals. Writing has always been on the list, as well as youtube. I work in a small city that’s minimum income is $7.25/hour, and most businesses refuse to pay more than $15/hour since the minimum wage is so low. I work a pet sitting hustle (the past 6 years) and have a pt job at the airport to make ends meet. I’m probably working between 65-80hours a week depending on the season, when people travel, need pet sitting, etc. My ultimate goal is financial freedom & a dramatic increase of spending time doing things I WANT to do rather than need to in order to pay my bills, etc. lately my free time is I consume a lot of youtube content, read/listen to books, & write personal essays in google docs, in that order. I don’t post my writing but I do want to. I think what Nicolas said about writing for someone’s business for free is an invaluable resource which I would love to start! Any advice or insights as to how to start writing short form on twitter? This conversation has all been super helpful & informative. These comments are also gold! So inspiring! Thank you all!

This is amazing and life changing!!! The absolute best thing I've found for my physical health is indoor rock climbing. A trip to the rock climbing gym can bring you all these things. Physical stress becuase you don't want to fall, strength training, dopamine in completing something hard, working toward goals, and human connection with your belayer and friends. And then of course you can go climb outside more.

Just found this channel and glad i did. I’m a guy that’s 63 and I followed the typical route of get a good education and work 8-12 hours a day M-F for 40+ years and they claimed one would be successful. Started one career in the medical field with the first several years of education and realized that was not working so I thought I’m just in the wrong profession. Went back to university and completely changed careers into an IT path. Got more into corporate America and discovered that was a brutal way to earn a living. Bust ass and be loyal only to be laid off when the next private equity company buys the company i was working for. Rinse and repeat every 2-5 years until I woke up 2 years ago and decided I’d learn how to take skills I’ve learned and build on them and try to figure out how to monetize it. I did try a few things over the years that never worked. After my last layoff I decided to start learning marketing, social media marketing, email marketing and content creation, copywriting and expanding on my website design and coding skills. I did invest in some courses. Some good and some were not. Every day in my job for the last couple years, I take all spare time to learn something new and take notes whether it’s learning new marketing techniques or learning new Ai tools that can help move to an online business. I feel like I’ve studied harder for the last couple years than i did in my university courses. Fast forward to today and I’m launching an ecommerce business with a site that I built and I’m developing apps that I hope will help people create their own businesses. My goal is to have multiple streams of income as I head into retirement and spend time with my grandchild that will be here soon. ChatGPT has been a godsend as well for ideation and creating organized logical steps to develop businesses. Then focus on any new skills needed to create the business or product or hire the skills needed to complete the project. At 63, I cannot believe how energized I feel every single day to wake up and learn and work on ideas. Usually wake up around 3am like I did to find this channel and this video. Good stuff in this video!

Autonomy & Mastery... Passion is a fad! If Steve Jobs was born during the days of Plato, he would not have been passionate about building a tech company. He probably would have ended up as a philosopher. Aim to master something and get autonomy by doing it.

Success depends on your network if your network evolves high profit earners then those are the people that will buy the product just because you’re selling it they might not even need it it just buying it to support you. Then you have your clients that will buy a product because they could actually benefit from it.

People often think Romance is Love. It's not. Romance is a genre marketed by writers and artists in the 1700s as a response to people becoming demystified by the progression of logic and science in that era. Romance tries to undermine what Love really is by calling is boring or stale, and refering to it as "settling" or "settling down." It tries to portray it as problematic when couples stop having sex or romance in their lives, or when the drama of raising kids and paying mortgage takes over, or when they lose their looks because they're too busy or too tired to go to the gym or maintain their appearance. True Love is rooted in practicality. It's something that's meant to stand the test of time; something that last through the years of work, money problems, and raising kids. Love is a choice, and you choose a partner who you trust to build a life with, who will support you, and who's goals align with you. They're not going to make your life perfect, but they'll make it better. Romance is not so sturdy and it would crumble under the weight of such responsibilities.

Could you not find one female entrepreneur? How slack/lazy of your research and editorial team. In fact this major blunder tells me that you need more women - or any woman - on your team. No way in hell a female employee would look at the thumbnail and not see there is a problem with the representation here. This is deeply deeply offensive and this is 2025, not 1985. Do better!

@@emmielf5090 not everyone has to be represented in every video, there are a million other social groups that aren’t included in this video, should they all be offended too? He interviews tons of people with tons of backgrounds and never has any bias towards any of them. The only consideration that goes into videos like this is “what information will provide the most value?” I promise there’s no agenda against women here. Most of the people who come on his podcast just happen to be men (although there have been plenty of women too) and it’s very statistically reasonable to have occasional videos with multiple people that happen to be all men. I can guarantee there will be plenty more videos in the future that include women, but it won’t be because they’re women, it’ll be because of the value they provide. Point is, this is a business video, race, gender, ethnicity, etc. has no impact on the information being provided.
@emmielf50905 күн бұрын
@@Jaredstthomas you are missing the point, and this is a problem. The fact you can’t see it, should make you question your position. Representation matters in a video that is setting the tone for the entire year. Again, the fact you cannot see this is sad, disappointing, but unsurprising from your vantage point. A million other social groups that aren’t included? Really… *sigh*
