That's an opinion. They actually look great on lots of ladies.

It would depend on you body type. For certain body types, the fold up would create visual interest that would defeat their goal in looking balanced. If you don't want to pay to have them hemmed, cutting them for a raw edge is an option.

Welcome to KZbin. I never understand why people just don't scroll by if they don't like me, what I wear, my body, the way I talk, how often I use my hands, the way I organize my business (yes, this is a business because of the cost it takes to produce a video - people would be shocked). Not all opinions need to be expressed, especially when you skip right on by.

I think that is okay. As I said at the end of the video, these are just a trend, but you aren't "out of style" if you wear other jeans like bootcut or flares. Fashion is about wearing what you LOVE and what looks best on you.

So ... a couple of things. Are you 100% sure you are an apple? I'm thinking from your description, you might be another body type. And second, I wouldn't have you "zip this up" when I styled you. I'd keep it open so the attention moves away from your mid-section. And third, bombers have changed A LOT over the years. Most are pretty relaxed in the mid-section now vs the "tight at the belly" style that we used to wear.

These are too short to wear with boots (at least the heel height you are describing). One of the first things you learn in my course is the RIGHT inseam for flats and boots (and how to figure that out).

We can agree to disagree. Column of color with a blazer can work for Apple Body Types (that is true), but it is boring as hell. Seriously, who wants to rinse and repeat that forever. And I think it is awesome "you work in Hollywood Fashion", but I work with the everyday woman and we have dressed apple body types in bombers for the 18 months (about as long as they have been on trend) and they look great. My proof in is my ladies, my testimonials, and what they wear to their events. And I'll take that over "Hollywood Fashion" any day of the week.

So, style is different than trends. Styles are specific (wide-leg, straight, flare, bootcut, skinny, etc.) and "styles" are always around and they get worn all the time. Trends are when a style (like wide-leg) becomes popular. This means there are more options in the store and you see people wearing them more often. When people say "out of style" (I really hate that word combination, but it is what is used) it should mean a specific outfit formula with specific trends. So, think the early 2000s with skinny jeans, oversized tunic, vest, fashion boots, and an infinity scarf. That overall "look" is dated. But take the same skinny jeans and add an updated blazer, fitted blouse, and mary jane flat with gold or silver chain accessories and that look feels current. So, to answer your question. Lots of people wear straight jeans, but to look current, they will need to add a few things to their outfit that look on trend. It's why I tell people not to chase trends, but to chase style. I think that is an opinion, not a fact. I've seen lots of women wear them in a a beautiful way.

@ you are right. It is my opinion. My daughter looks great in them but it’s hard for most people and shapes to look good in them. They’re not flattering. And if you have a stomach it’s harder.

Me, too! I’m petite and feel best in bootcut jeans and pants. I can wear any top I want with them. Also, they make me look slimmer.

I'm the same height as you. I have 3 pair of wide leg jeans. I absolutely love them. I wear a fitted tank top or a cropped top to offset the bagginess of the jeans. Maybe you could try that ...
